EA Sports' Madden NFL 2001 fully utilizes the PlayStation2's advanced hardware with ultrarealistic rushing, passing, blocking, and tackling. You can play the built-in AFC and NFC lineups, or even create your own player. The graphics power of the PlayStation2 brings a new level of detail to the game. As play progresses, you'll see the field start to collect scars from some of the rougher tackles, and the players will show some wear of their own, too.
If you can pull yourself away from the football game, there's also SSX: Snowboard Supercross. Game critics are raving about this fast-action winter title, which includes unconventional racing environments and a wide variety of boarders.
The game pack also includes NHL 2001. This game boasts all of the NHL's traditional and expansion teams, as well as 20 additional international teams. The motion-capture moves, high-end offensive and defensive artificial intelligence, customizable options, and jaw-dropping graphics combine to make this game a must-have for any hockey fan.
To help you go head-to-head with your opponents, this bundle also includes a bonus Dual Shock 2 controller. Also, we've included the official PS2 vertical stand, which turns your machine into a tower of sleek gaming power.
About These Bundles:
Amazon.com and Toysrus.com are pleased to offer these special PlayStation2 bundles. When you select a bundle for purchase, Amazon.com will ship your selection in a single box. Of course, you're free to add additional PlayStation2 games or accessories to your order. Depending on item availability, these additional items might ship separately.

Well worth the wait
I waited...and waited...and finally got lucky!
Great game console - Poor DVD playerAs a DVD player though, it's not very good, I went out a purchased between 30 and 40 DVD's within the first month of getting the console and I would say about 20 of the DVD's would freeze a few times or the PS2 would stop and say "unable to read disc." I would check the DVD out by playing it in the DVD player in my personal computer and it played fine. So I wouldn't recommend taking the DVD's back to the store if it doesn't play on your PS2, it's most likely the PS2.

ECW HARDCORE REVOLUTION
Best Wrestling For GBCIf you think being able to pummel a person in a barbed wire match with a trashcan lid, or whiping them into the unforgiving barbed wire ropes while riding to Grandmas House is just Awesome then i suggest you get this game. It is one of the fastest games out there, and it has a career mode you can play too. The only thing is that u can't link up with a friend to play. But that is ok since you can do a bunch of stuff in this game. With alot of signature moves. The only thing i warn you of for this Extreme Game is while riding with your parents don't start any familar chants like @ss Hole in the backseat, or Spontanuesly yell "E C f'n W". Then you won't be able to play one of the most HardCore Pocket Games around

The gameplay is very similar to WCW vs. nWo World Tour except that timing has become much more important--you don't just pound the buttons for special moves. There are several game modes, including challenges for all WCW belts (some are available only after you unlock them), battle royal, handicapped matches, and exhibition matches. Furthermore, winning belts will unlock other wrestlers such as Kidman, Rowdy Roddy Piper, and Curt Hennig.
Although there is room for improvement, WCW/nWo fans will enjoy WCW/nWo Revenge. --Hugh Arnold
Pros:
- Great graphics
- Diverse roster
- Better gameplay
- Weak sound

Enter WCW/nWo Revenge. The game definately puts World Tour to shame. And if you guys know WWF Warzone, you can see that Bret Hart is in this game. Apart from the theme music(Horrible), no cage and no Triple threat, this game is still the best.
THQ could've made this game better. They could've:
*Added cage and triple threat(More Game modes)
*Put in Thunder, Uncensored, Spring Stampede, Slamboree, Great American Bash, Road Wild, Fall Brawl and World War 3 as well (Arenas).
*Replaced the other 2 factions (DOA and another one I can't remember), and it's wrestlers with more wrestlers, like Norman Smiley, The Cat, Johnny Swinger, Villano V, Silver King, Wrath and Ric Flair(More Wrestlers).
*Made the career a little more like Wrestlemania 2000, where you had some storylines and stuff. (Better career).
*Make the edit-a-wrestler like No Mercy's edit-a-wrestler, as well as create new wrestlers. (Better edit-a-wrestler.)
Apart from that, it's the best WCW game EVER, although Thunder was close. Well, that's that. GET Revenge, and you won't rgret it. Also get WWF Wrestlemania 2000... if you can.
The game is great except for the sound!
What a game!As wella s several "fake" wrestlers that have similar moves to Ric Flair, The Rock, Taz, and more.
Greatest wrestling game I've ever played. A combination of good graphics and GREAT gameplay make it that. until WCW/nWo Mania comes out, which will feature alot of this as well as a Cage match and create your own, and the abillity to fight in the parking lots!, This will be the best game. Attitude can't hold a candle!
Enjoy it! And like Hollywood Hogan said "Revenge is ust too sweeet!"

good game
Did you like Nintendo's PunchOut? You'll love this...Like the PunchOut series, the game is presented in first person; all you see of you character is his/her gloves. Unlike the PunchOut series, this game really taps into the power the GameBoy Advance hardware. It has short-burst of 3D graphics (such as the intro) and the boxers look much more detailed and larger than any any PunchOut port could do. The game is 2D, but it's designers manage to utilize the power of the system pull of a 3D look, which is done well. The 2-Player link option is also a great must have feature that I don't think could be pulled off on a PunchOut port.
With multiple boxing circuits to fight on, use pattern matching techniques to defeat the computer, and reuse of previous characters on more advanced boxing circuits, the game does borrow a lot from the PunchOut series, but overall it's an incredible game that really proves your Gameboy Advance is capable of a lot more than you old SNES.

Infuriating AI!
This game Rules....When I first got this It was around the time it first came out.
Man this game is awesome. They steel cage match, Hardcore match, and I can't remember but I think they had first blood?...I think...I don't remember.
The graphics were good for it's time. Gameplay was quick which is a good thing. It is also the first N64 game to have blood in a WWE game.
My favorite match is the steel cage. It's sooo fun but I wish they had a Hell in The Cell match.
gameplay 5/5
matches 4/5

The real crowd pleaser here is Knockout Kings 2000's career mode. Choosing from a wide variety of options, you get to create your own custom boxer, who can fight his way to the top in career mode or participate in exhibition and slugfest matches. Before career fights, customized boxers can be improved by training, or playing various mini-games. (A memory card is required to save custom boxer data.)
What robs Knockout Kings 2000 of the championship belt is its unbalanced 3-D graphics. The boxers look great and move fluidly, but everything else appears flat and unfinished. Thankfully, fast game speed and responsive controls clamp down on the sightseeing, which is one sure-fire way to end up KO'd. --Joe Hon
Pros:
- Can create your own custom boxer
- Features realistic and arcade-style boxing
- Fast game speed and responsive controls
- Optional 1-button mode for those who don't want to memorize controls
- Except for the boxers, graphics aren't very pretty

Great when it comes to Slugfest, but stinks in CareerMany of the players lose their skill when going into their careers, and the computer predetermines who will win the next fight. You could be beating the snot out of your opponent, while you give up little health, but he come's right back and KO's you, and the computer won't let you back up.
That's the major problem with this game. Other than that, I have no beef against it.

Like any fighting game, WCW/nWo Thunderis much more fun in two-player mode, competing against a friend. Although the advanced library of moves includes power slams, back-breakers, pile drivers, and even fighting outside the ring, it's often difficult to manage your wrestler's moves. Average players may prefer to find a wrestling game that is easier to handle, but WCW/nWo Thunder is worth the effort if you want to play with the WCW and nWo teams. --Sal Barcia
Pros:
- Features WCW and nWo wrestling stars
- Wide variety of match selections
- Advanced library of moves
- Non-wrestling fans may not appreciate the game
- Difficult to manage your wrestler's moves

Nitro Sparked The First Flame...
I do believe I am quite ready to rumbleWCW Thunder had a lot to offer fans when it was released. For starters, you had some 60 superstars to choose from, including the biggest names around such as Goldberg and Hogan; all kinds of other hidden wrestlers also lay buried inside the game, waiting for you to win with certain characters (or use the handy dandy cheat codes) to unlock them-everything from made-up goofy characters to the wrestlers who got beat up for a living every week to announcers to members of the Nitro Girls (including the luscious Kimberly). While certain basic moves worked for all wrestlers, each individual wrestler, including the hidden ones, had their own signature moves. Thus, you could have Goldberg take his opponent out with the Spear followed by the Jack Hammer, or have Lex Luger turn a man into a little baby while hoisted up in the Torture Rack. Each wrestler came with his own theme music and personal allegiance, but you had the option of changing a guy's alliance. This could become important in terms of one of my favorite features of the game, the ability to have an ally come to the ring to help you avoid a loss or just to help you beat the heck out of your opponent.
The game offers a number of game types for one or two players. You can fight an exhibition match or go for the TV Title, US Heavyweight Title or walk that aisle in pursuit of the World Heavyweight belt. If you get tired of one-on-one action, you can choose tag-team play or battle it out with 29 other wrestlers in a Battle Royal. You can even get down to brass tacks and battle it out in a cage match. The only bad thing about a cage match is the fact that it does not allow you access to any weapons. In normal game play, there are a number of weapons outside the ring (you control how many) that you can pick up and use to beat the fool out of everybody that gets in your way; you can even just keep wailing on your opponent after he hits the ground.
WCW Thunder is and never was perfect, though. For one thing, the game quickly becomes rather easy. You can just pile drive your opponent over and over again into oblivion if you like or take a stop sign upside a guy's head a dozen or more times and pin him easily. The clumsy combination moves actually become a good thing here because it is sometimes a challenge to perform that special killer move your wrestler is famous for and end the match in style. The graphics are decent but not great, and my Playstation seems to have a few hitches in its gitty-up when it tries to render large numbers of wrestlers all at once in Battle Royal mode. I still enjoy playing WCW Thunder, though. It looks a lot like the earlier WCW Nitro game, but it plays a lot better in my opinion. There are better games available now, even for the Playstation, but I have a feeling that I'll be enjoying this game on and off for many years to come.
what the heck is this???
