Best Swingset/Climber for young kidsThis is our second Step 2 playhouse climber. Extremly well made and durable, hours of fun for toddlers and older. Setup is possible with only one person, however, if you have a helper and a socket wrench(highly reccomended) setup should take 2 hours.
Our kids 1 and 2.5 love this set, they can spend all day on the swings.

Lots of funI really llike this swing set. Because the swings hold 100 pounds each, the kids will be able to use it for a long time. The only thing I was disappointed about is that the deck isn't very big. It holds 250 pounds, but it's not that big. And the entry from the steps to the deck is small. My 3 year old has hit her head on the cross bar when standing on the deck. But, she's figured it out. It hasn't stopped her!! She loves it. I am glad the set comes with stakes to secure it. It will rock when not staked down. I would highly recommend this play set!

The perfect outdoor climberI researched many climbers, and finally decided that this was the one for us. My 2-year-old loves it! Assembly was easy enough that we can disassemle it and put it away for winter. The platform was a little tricky to get into place. I don't think I could have done it myself, but my husband did it without too much trouble. There are many different aspects of play with this climber - a long wavy slide, a fairly large platform complete with a steering wheel, a secret hideout area underneath, holes to climb up and down and in and out - all for a very reasonable price. I'm so glad we didn't have to spend several hundred dollars to get something that our son loves. What impresses me the most is how durable it is. My husband had to jump on the platform to get it into place. It didn't bow at all! It appears to be indestructable. (I certainly wouldn't leave it out all winter.) I brought it home from the store in my Subaru Forester, which is not a big vehicle. (out of the box) This was a big plus in my book. Anything bigger probably would not have fit. I expect that many summers of fun will be had with this purchase.

My Twin Sons Love It !My husband and I bought the Wave Climber when our twin boys were 19 months old. It was very easy to assemble, there are only 5 peices that you lock together. It took us 10 minutes to put together. My sons really abuse toys (climbing, jumping, hanging on, ect.)and this climber is durable. I even climbed on the platform and went down the slide after we put it together. My boys will spend hours crawling underneath pretending it's a fort or climbing up the side and going down the slide over and over and over again! My sons are now 20 months old, I think they will have many years of fun to come with this toy. We have it in our finished off garage which we turned into a playroom. So they enjoy it rain or shine.
Good investment!I bought this for my 17th month son and he absolutely LOVES it! It is stationed in the middle of my living room because we wanted to have something for him to entertain himself with other than being glued to the TV watching Barney all day. It gives him a chance to be active in the house when you're unable to get outdoors. (Would also be a good outdoor item due to the quality of the material it is made of.) It is a nice enough size to fit indoors for rainy day fun, yet big enough to play and have fun. He loves going down the slide over and over and over and never seems to get bored of it. He enjoys climbing up the side ladder (however, since he is still small we had to put a rubbermaid 2-step ladder at the base of the ladder until he gets big enough to reach the top to pull himself up. This worked very well.) The play area below the top platform is a little bit small because it is too short for even a small child to stand up in, however it serves as a great storage area for toys and stuffed animals. The unit is very sturdy and there is no chance of it toppling over, also the walls of the upper platform are high enough where a toddler won't fall over the side. Over all, good buy, great price, hours of fun!

Please dont buy this !!I bought this for my 2 year old son 4 months ago. There is no room under this for a sand box.It does have a nice sized slide. The frame of this is very sturdy but the company didn't put alot of attention in the platform. The platform bowed the first time my son got on it.He will climb the ladder go down the slide and he is done. It is big enough for 1 child 2 at most. I would not buy this again.

A good first all-around climberI bought this for my daughter because it looked versatile. There's a good variety of features that should last for at least a couple of years. The slide was taller than the other climbers I looked at which was nice. Also the ladder opening and the slide don't like up, so that was a major point in it's favor. It's very sturdy, no matter how hard my daughter jumps up and down, it barely moves. It's also light enough that I have no problem pulling it around the yard by myself (I'm 5'O") to mow the lawn. She hasn't tried the rock climbing walls yet, but loves everything else. The only downside is that there's really not enough room underneath to do anything but store toys.

Smaller than I thoughtI bought this for my 2 year old daughter 3 months ago. I wanted a climber with a sandbox under it and a good sized platform and slide. There is no room under this for a sand box.It does have a nice sized slide. The frame of this is very sturdy but the company didn't put alot of attention in the platform. The platform bowed the first time my daughter got on it.I do like the real wood look that this has. My daughter does not play on this much at all. She will climb the ladder go down the slide and she is done. It is big enough for 1 child 2 at most. I would not buy this again.

Hide & Slide Climber
Made by Little Tikes
Age Group: 24 months - 6 years
Amazon base price: $99.99
If your child (or your budget, or your yard) is too small for one of those monstrous cedar outdoor play structures, check out the Hide & Slide Climber, a miniature version of the same idea. Its brightly colored (yellow, red, teal, and purple) plastic sections snap together quickly, and they won't rot. A red 40-inch slide leads down from a platform 26 inches high; underneath there's a crawling and hiding space. It's very stable--the two large "feet" on the side panels make the unit almost 60 inches wide. Requires adult assembly, but not a second mortgage. --Richard Farr

Hide & Slide Climber by Little TikesI like the product for its durability, but thought the kids (age 1 & 2 1/2) would play with it more. I think it is a little overpriced for what you get.

Happy MommyI just got this climber/slide! My 17 month old went nuts over it! It's perfect for my little girl to do her favorite thing (climb) and she figured out how to sit and slide with no problems. It fits great in her playroom and feels very sturdy. I am very pleased with this purchase. My favorite things about it are all the giggles, squeals and smiles! Yay Little Tikes!

Baby loves Hiding and SlidingI bought this slide when my son was 14 months old. He loves it. We keep it inside since it is so cold and wet outside right now. It doesn't take up *too* much room in spare bedroom. He loves climbing up and down the steps. He is learning the steps of how to slide (1st sit down, then get one foot in front, then the other, then scooch forward). Just as the product name implies, he loves hiding under it and surprising me and playing peekaboo around the corners. It was a snap to put together maybe 15 minutes tops - if a piece is fitting too snuggly follow the directions and put a little soap on it to help it snap into place. I think son will enjoy this product for some time!

Naturally Playful Kangaroo Climber
Made by Step2
Age Group: 24 months - 4 years
Amazon base price: $99.99
For toddlers who aren't quite ready for a belayer and harness at the climbing gym, there's plenty of indoor/outdoor fun to be had with the Kangaroo Climber. Six modular, plastic pieces--each a different color and about 30 inches square--snap together to form a step-n-slide play structure. It's ideal for the very small thrill-seeker. The walls include a doorway, a crawling-hole, and smaller holes and notched steps to encourage the ascent of Kangaroo's north, south, east or west faces. The top of the slide is nicely framed by an archway. Crawl through, brace yourself, and down you go! --Richard Farr

Fun but toddler must be adult supervised! My son received this toy for his first birthday. We have had it inside on the carpet with an additional pad under it. He loves crawling through the holes, opening and closing the gate and crawling up the slide to turn around and slide down. He stands on the platform and plays in it as a fort. He is not afraid of it all. However, he should be! I know that he is still to young to be playing unsupervised on this toy so his father or I am always with him when he is on it. Still he has fallen off the platform at least 5 times. The last time he busted his lip and his Dad put the toy away for now. We feel that we definitely need to wait until he is more steady (18 mos.) before a serious injury happens. Beware of the platform - no parent is fast enough to catch their toddler falling off. But I still give it 4 stars for FUN!
Great Toyi can admit i had a little trouble putting it together but it took less than 5 min with one other person. I know this toy is strong and safe for my child because i ws able to stand on the little bench and not feel like it was going to break. I was even able to jump on it and not feel iot move alot only the plastc bend wich is normal. And if i (170 lbs) can jump on it i feel it is safe for my child to play on besides the fact of when they fall but they learn not to stand on the slide and not to try stand on top of the walls. And just to let you know i am a worry wart when it comes to my daughter and she always keps me gasping.
Love this climber!!!We bought this climber for our son when he was 9 months old. It started out in his bedroom and he would pull himself up and practice walking and play "peekabo" through the holes. He loved to push stuffed animals through the holes and crawl through to get them. We moved it outside when he was 18 months old. He is now 2 and loves to find different routes up and down the sides. He has fallen off the platform many times, but is completely unfazed by it. Not a day has gone by that he has not played on it or in it. Even the kitty finds some fun to be had! This was one of the best toys that we have bought for our son. It was a great learning toy for him when learning to walk and stand. It is incredibly durable, after a year and a half it still looks brand new! He delights in jumping off the sides, sliding down the slide a million times, and finding hand and foot holds along the sides. If you are raising an adventerous, tough little tike, this is the toy for you!

Excellent choice for all age groupsWe bought this for our son when he was 2 years old and now he's 5 and won't use any other swing set. I thought he would like a wooden one that was bigger, but he gets so much enjoyment from this one and it's durable, was easy to assemble (even for my husband) and he gets hours of enjoyment from it. We did anchor it into the ground because I was afraid it would tip over as he got older, but it works just fine and we're all happy, even mom!

A Problem for Shorter ChildrenWe bought this playset this week for our 16 month old son and he played on it for the first time tonight. He is short for his age and the smaller slide does not have any steps to aide kids in climbing up or down so he fell off and busted his lip. He loves the playset and as soon as we got the bleeding to stop, he got back on and began playing again, but I do feel that an optional step or two that could be snapped onto the smaller slide, since it is obviously for younger children, would have been a good idea.
Love it!We bought this set for our 16 month old daughter. She is a climber and loves to swing. The slides are perfect for her, she can climb up on the smaller platform by herself and slide down without any help. She loves the bridge and the pretend steering wheel. Putting it together was not too hard but you do need an electirc drill/screwdriver and it will take a few hours. A great buy!!!!!

Great for young childrenWe bought this for our older son's 2nd birthday and our younger son was 10 months old. They both loved it. Our 10 month old began using it immediately. They love playing in it, and our large dog also enjoys it; however, I think by the time they are 4 and 5, we will have to upgrade. My age recommendation is 1-5, and it's great for that age range.

Bunch of fun!We bought this for our son's second birthday. We put it together in a little over an hour. A previous review said 15 minutes, but we didn't find it to be that quick. It's not hard to put together, just takes a little time and 2 people. From the time we brought the peices out of the boxes, my 2 year old was playing on it. He enjoys climbing through the tunnels and up the slide. I wish the phone wasn't pink, but he doesn't seem to mind.
Overall a great purchase.

disappointmentThis is a great toy for a child under 3. My son is 2 and loves it but we were going by the mgtr. age guidelines of 2-8 and thought that this would be a toy that his sister who just turned 9 might also enjoy but once we got it together it was a real disappointment for her. It's way to small for A child that is older then 3 or 4. Please make sure that you look at the measurements rather then the picture it makes it look bigger then it really is. A real disappointment I think we may return it.

The Swiss Family Robinson's treetop pad has nothing on the Jungle Climber. This hideout has it all: a wavy, 4-foot-long slide; a secret revolving door; a rope-mesh wall for climbing; passageways galore; and different levels set at staggered heights. Playfully cast to look like colorful rock, wood planks, bamboo slats, and jungle greenery, the component parts of this 4.5-foot-tall climber assemble into a circular configuration (6 feet in diameter) that has three separate dividing walls radiating out like spokes. With Little Tikes' usual tough, molded-plastic construction and smooth, kid-friendly edges, this playground will survive years of heavy-duty play. --Paul Hughes

Easy to assemble and great fun!!!!!!!!!!!I just bought this gym for my daughter's 2nd birthday and she loves it. It took maybe 15 minutes to put together, no problems with that and no WD-40 needed. All the kids at the party had a ball with on it, we took it apart and brought it home and reassembled it in her bedroom & it took about 5 minutes that time. Great toy, in fact some of parents at the party are considering buying this toy for their little ones.
So happy we bought this toyWe bought this climber for our daughters second birthday. It was recommended for 3-8, but the smaller climbers did not look like she would enjoy them. The assembly instructions were not great, but once we figured it out my husband was able to get it together pretty quickly and it did take 2 adults and some muscle. It was definitly worth it..our daughter took no time in figuring out how to get around on this...and is having so much fun! The design gives the child 3 different play areas. She is under the recommended age but has had no problem, and can even climb the cargo net. We plan to purchase more Little Tikes toys for the yard.
Lots of fun!I was worried when I read some of the reviews of this toy--I was scared of how hard it would be to put together Christmas Eve. I was planning on getting cooking spray or dish detergent to help, but we didn't need it at all. It went together like a breeze. My husband and my father put it together in less than 20 minutes while I read the instructions (if it had just been me and my husband it would have taken longer). There is no hardware--the plastic fits to the plastic, and the rope fits into holes, so that made it easy. There were only two aspects that were difficult: The first was getting the top gray platform into place--it's really tricky. The second was getting the brown support to the red platform into place. All the rest was a cinch.
My 20-month-old daughter loves this! I know it is recommended for older kids, but it's perfect for her. The "hiding" places are great fun and the revolving purple door was the first thing she explored Christmas morning. I know the toy will grow with her, and more than one child can and should play on this at a time.

do your homework--this toy is misunderstoodOur two year old weighs about 25 pounds and is about 36 inches tall. This toy was perfect for him. He loves every aspect of it. Most children are afraid at first to go down the big playground slides because they are too long. For a toddler this length is great because it is in a way a "training" slide. It prepares the child for the longer slide but still gives them the thrill of going down a slide plus it gives them confidence and ownership of their abilities. Right now our son wants indepence more than anything and this toy gives him the chance to be independent and we don't have to hold his hand to do that. With the swing his feet don't quite touch the ground but they are close enough that he can get out of the swing himself and he likes that. We went to the store before we purchased this to see one set up and we were quite pleased with the product. But just the picture on the web site and some of the reviews didn't properly represent what the toy is. He would have missed a lot of fun if we just went by the reviews on this web site and the pictures.

Going to buy it todayA child in my son's playgroup has this and the kids all love it. They are all around 10-11 months old (and all various sizes and shapes) and only one of them is actually walking, but all of them enjoy it! They have learned to climb the rock wall and hold unto to the wheel at the top. Only one can slide down on his own, but the rest are working on it. My husband and I are going to buy our son one today!
I've had this for a few years. Weather will
play havic on this toy. We'll be cleaning this
toy soon. My friend Dixie likes climbers.
Overall a great climber! A++++!
