The Triple Option Just Got Better
EA has outdone itself again - excellent!Certainly, they have added new "goodies" like Sports Illustrated magazine covers based on your dynasty season, heritage football teams that are dressed like their era, more fun and goofy college mascots, and overall better graphics.
The biggest upgrade, and the one most important to continuing fans of the series, is to the gameplay. It's those little details the average reviewer doesn't notice but you do because you've taken your dynasty twelve years deep. It's the fact that your offensive lineman are now awarded pancakes and you can therefore win the Offensive Lineman of the Year. Or the fact that you can lead a receiver with your throw to take him away from defensive pressure. Sacks are more plentiful. Special teams is vastly improved, with members of your team forming a wedge in front of you on punts and kickoff returns. No longer can you just play "Toss Sweep" and outsprint the computer to the corner. It takes sophistication in your play to advance. In short, NCAA has taken an already impressive football simulation and made it even more realistic and authentic in its gameplay. It has all the glitz, but it also has all the important stuff: the gameplay that makes you feel that your coaching and playing has an impact on every down.
One also has to appreciate the sheer expertise EA Sports has shown in assigning attributes to the different teams and players. It is extraordinarily accurate in gauging real teams' abilities.
So the positives of this game:
-Improved Gameplay
-Tons of goodies (throwback teams, Sports Illustrated, more of everything)
-Authentic recreation of what we all love about the college game
The negatives (and you have to look really hard for these):
-Some of the commentary dialogue is new, but most is the same as last year
-The opening sequence at the start of each game is slightly changed but largely the same
-Running backs don't catch the ball coming out of the backfield very well (I'm being very nit-picky on this one!)
Tremendous game... you won't be disappointed!

For those who are new to yugioh then this deck for you, it has some great, simple and easy cards to get you started. And for advanced players who know the game then you would appreciate some of the cards such as; black luster soldier, change of heart, dark magician and a few others. This deck is probably a better choice than Kaiba Evolution because it has better trap cards, the only thing in Kaiba's deck that's any good is Blue Eyes White Dragon, however it can be countered by a change of heart of stalled with a Kuribo, (both included) At only $14 you get some brillint cards and some you may want to cange out. However modifying a starter deck may not be a wise chioce because the deck is already fairly well balanced. The only thing you might want to exchange is some of the weak 4 star monsters for some strong 4 star monsters.
Thanx 4 reading. (!)

NBA Live 2000 Good, But Could Be Better
Upgrade over 99Players also don't fly through their opponants on their way to dunking the ball from 10 feet out like in 99. The defense is very tight! Almost too tight. I can be hard to get by someone even if you are controling a much faster player, without doing several jukes and using the turbo button.
The only draw backs are the repeated close up animation that the computer puts you through everytime there is a foul shot, sub or slam dunk. You can press escape to skip it.
Another draw back is that they didn't add much variety in the way a player shoots. They have dozens of different dunks, but players shoot pretty much the same way even if they are right next to the hoop. The only variety is the layup the dunk, and the fade aways which are almost impossible to make.
THIS GAME ROCKS!

Enhanced CPU logic and AI allow for more effective fast breaks, with open players cutting to the hoop for scoring opportunities, and the fine-tuned turbo buttons afford players a wider array of in-game strategies. There are also enhanced dribbling and player movements, player-specific signature moves, and more responsive shot blocking. In addition, real NBA coaches roam the sidelines, and there is dramatic camera coverage of in-game and out-of-play sequences. You will hear what its like to be on the court with all-new player calls, as well as court and arena sound effects. Classic jerseys give gamers a chance to relive their teams glory days in authentic gear.

Great - until you play NBA Live 2004You can use classic uniforms for every team.
Players celebrate or mope around after a key shot.
The franchise mode was alright.
The commentary could be a lot better. They repeat themselves a lot and say things that are stupid.
Fouls are called when they shouldn't be and aren't called when they should be.
1 on 1 is a really fun option. You can build up your skills and can play in an urban court, beach court, or a gym.
NBA LIVE 2003 IS OKAY, BUT COULD BE A LOT BETTER!
The other day I played NBA Live 2004 for the first time. I could not believe the realism. Everything is extremely realistic. You feel like your actually in a basketball game. The commentary can't get any better. The gameplay is outstanding, too. The smooth graphics and player animations. You can use EVERY classic uniform from every team in a game.
A Major ImprovementThe menus are also a major upgrade and are easy to navigate. Franchise mode is available and there are many features and stats to check out, from player contracts to fantasy drafts to the lottery, it is all there.
If you enjoyed past NBA Live games for the new systems, you will love this game. It has been updated and redesigned. A lot of work was put into 2003 and it shows. If you are more of a fan of the NBA2K series, this game boasts many of the same features while offering better gameplay (in my opinion). Buy this game; you won't be disappointed.

Excellent game at first, but deteriorates within days.
The qualities of "Sega Marine Fishing"-It's a fishing adventure
-The minigames are so much fun
-Great graphics
-Looking at your beautiful customized aquarium
What's not:
-It's a very addictive fishing game
-Looking at the aquarium can become an addiction
What's strange:
-Where the heck is the fishing tounament?
The awards for:
-Best fish-The blue marlin and the hammerhead shark
-Best supporting fish-Mako shark
-Best stage-The one with the blue whale
The overall:
This is one game that is definitely worth buying
Virtual fishing fun? It sure is!There are tons of fish (including at least one type of shark). You can get all manner of things to put in your aquarium (including fish which is a nice thing to have in an aquarium).
I have never played this game using the Dreamcast Fishing Rod Controller, but it can be played very easily just with the regular Dreamcast controller.
All in all, this is a good game to play if you don't want to get into some major RPG or adventure game. It's a good buy!

Frustrating gameplay... but has some great features. The Good:
1) This game feaures the groundbreaking enhancement of allowing the user to edit the attributes, skills, numbers, height, weight, and even names of every player that comes with the game. This completely solves all of the problems from last year's game with roster management (ie. the computer playing players for other teams that they should not be playing because of a faulty ratings system).
2) A limitless franchise mode. Last year, the franchise mode wouldn't allow created players, and you could only play for a few years (was it 5 or 10?). This year you can use created players and the amount of seasons appears limitless.
3) There are a few gameplay elements, such as baord pinning, that are absent in EA's game and nice touches for realism.
The Mediocre:
1) Last year, this game's sound was horrendous, with a pair of robotic-sounding, lifeless, monotonous announcers. This year, they've gotten Gary Thorne Bill Clement... who are just as bad! Thorne, just like in his TV broadcasts, displays his complete lask of respect for European names by mispronouncing them constantly (but not just Euros, either... listen to him say 'Spezza').
2) Once again, the stat-tracking leaes much to be desired. The game doesn't track ice time, makes numerous calculation errors with some stats and doesn't take into account the game length setting when calculating GAA.
The Bad:
1) After fiddling with the numerous slider for hours and hours on end after each game, I have finally given up trying to make things end up realistic. THere is absolutely no way to get it so that the shots on goal, goals scored, goalie save percentage are all right. You'll have to live with at least one of them being out of whack.
2) The gameplay is, unlike what most people say, NOT realistic. The player movement is beyond awkaward. The AI of teammates is so bad that they skate away from the puck more often than toward it. The goalies are completely useless as passers. If you try to pass with them, the puck will go about 4 feet at 2mph and be intercepted easily. The only way to score is to fire a pass across the front of the goal on the rush and score on a one-timer. Defensemen are completely useless as pointmen. Every one of their shots is either blocked, muffled or checked away from them before it gets near the net. I've played a full season with prolific scoring d-man Nik Lidstrom and have only scored 1 goal with him... an empty netter. and by the way, the opposing team pulls its goalie if it's losing in the last two minutes no matter by how much... 2-1, 5-0, 10-0, whatever.
So, yeah, this game has some AMAZING sim features, and that is why this gets any stars at all from me in my rating. But by gameplay standards, this one just does not measure up. iT is boring, frustrating, irritating... and much more. If sim stuff isn't your bag, than I suggest steering clear of this one, folks.
great- but with some bad pointsthe good - the gameplay is very fun and exciting. u can also unlock teams from the past and their jerseys. u also have a house, and as u play more u unlock more games and trophies which can be very fun. the commentators r usually good, 2. also, they have a mode where u do the super skills competition, as they do on all-star saturday. plus, the players look realisitic
the bad - the comentaters can be good usually, but they repeat phrases 2 many times. also, u rarely get a shot off with ur defensman at the point. plus, wen u score , it is usually in the same way. they players look odd wen u skate with them, as if they were sticks. also, wen u turn, they dont curve they just switch directions immediatly, which looks very odd. also, this game has the worst fighting EVER. its not a fight. its just 2 people standing next 2 each other looking like they are trying 2 grab the air, and missing.it is the funnest game 2 fight in, but the fighting in nhl 2004 actually looks like a real fight. i was amazed at how bad this fighting was after just playing nhl 2004. its HORRIBLE.
i gave this game 4 stars because of the gameplay, but not 5 because the realism in some parts is terrible. if ur a hard core hockey fan, get nhl 2004. if ur a person looking 4 a fun hockey game 2 play, then get this.
Simply Awesome!!!

Absolutely Enormous! The most amazing thing about this game is how totally huge it is. There are more levels and more goals than ever before. And the replay value is incredible. Even when you've finished the game (and good luck with that!), you can play again with one of the other skaters and have new goals to accomplish. Plus you can go back and try to get all the gaps and cash you missed along the way. The menus even include screens where you can monitor your progress in getting the gaps.
Be warned, if you're a perfectionist, you could spend the rest of your life trying to complete everything in this game. The rest of us will have to be content knowing we've played MOST of it.
If you've enjoyed the other Tony Hawk games, this is a no brainer. Buy THPS4 NOW! If you've never played one, you're missing out on what's probably the greatest gaming experience on the market today. You should also buy THPS4 NOW!
Kudos to the team at Neversoft for continuing to find ways to improve the greatest series around!

A great game in need of an overhaulThis is a very original and addictive game. You are the general manager of a major-league baseball team, and you control the team's future, handling minor-league development, free-agent signings, trades, and so on--even the lineup and pitching rotation. (The only things you don't control are the managerial decisions on the field.) The prospect of controlling your team for several decades is genuinely exciting, and this game provides that fantasy opportunity like no other.
However, there are some persistent problems with this game, all of which are known to the programmers, and so much time has gone by since the original release that by now they should have fixed the flaws. For me, that reduces what would have been a five-star game in 1998 to a four-star game in 2004.
Within the space allowed for this review, I can't get into everything, so I'll just give an overview:
1. The computer often makes mistakes when awarding wins and losses to pitchers, as you can readily determine by reading the box scores. There's really no excuse for that. For that matter, box scores are annoying, because the statistics are not presented in the standard form that any baseball fan knows (AB-R-H-RBI).
2. Players' careers are too consistent in one sense, and not consistent enough in another sense. On the one hand, a player's career is quite predictable: it's very unlikely that a first-rate player is going to drop off the radar screen all of a sudden--something that really does happen to baseball players (just think of Chuck Knoblauch). So it's too easy to determine which young pitchers are likely to end up in the Hall of Fame. However, you can't predict at all HOW they are going to get there, because their year-to-year performance appears to be almost completely random. You'll find one guy hit .330 in one year, then .258 in the next, and so on. That happens too often in this game. Also, pitchers in this game are substantially more consistent than hitters, but in reality the opposite is true.
3. Batting averages are too low and ERA's are too high. In a given season, this is only a slight problem, but it becomes clearer when you look at career perfomance: you will almost never find a player retire with a .300 batting average or ERA under 3.30. Even with today's scoring inflation, there are still pitchers like Pedro Martinez who can be counted on to have ERA's well below 3.30 year in and year out. And you'll NEVER find a player Tony Gwynn or Wade Boggs, with moderate power but a batting average over .300 year after year. They just don't appear. That's not realistic.
4. There are too many power pitchers who retire with 4000+ strikeouts (and an incommensurate 3.90 ERA). And another oddity: stolen bases are too rare, and the success rate is much too low. I've seen players with 25 SB and 40 CS in one season! You'd think the manager would have told that fellow to stop running in May.
5. The awards voting is not realistic either. Too many shortstops win the MVP and Rookie-of-the-Year awards (and too often you'll find a rookie with a .195 batting average winning the award). Closers NEVER make the Hall of Fame, which is absurd: I've had closers with over 500 saves who didn't get in.
6. Some of the realities of dealing with players need to be worked into the game. The no-trade clause, for example--in this game, you can just ship out an old star anytime you'd like. You can't do that in real life. Signing free agents is too simple, and there is nothing like arbitration.
7. This new version allows you to build your own stadium (a nice improvement) but the mechanism is unrealistic and absurd: you have to pay for your stadium in one lump-sum payment, so you have to save up for many seasons before you can afford it, and for some reason if your ready cash exceeds a certain threshold (around $300 million, I've noticed), your revenue inexplicably starts to suffer. There has to be a way to pay for your stadium by taking a mortgage.
8. This version also allows you to start playing at any year from 1900--but if you start at 1900, there is a bug in the program that will cause pitchers to have ERA's around 10.00 (and Elmer Flick will win the Gold Glove at every position). The makers know about this. Why haven't they fixed it?
Quick and EasyWith the new historical database added to Baseball Mogul 2004, you can replay any year in history. See the Red Sox crowned champions in 1986! What would have happened if there was no strike in 1981? The scenerios and possibilities are unlimited. Keep in mind this game is for the person looking to control a team from the front office. Make trades, sign free agents, allot more money to your farm system, raise or lower ticket prices, and develop prospects. You can simulate 1 day or the entire season. It is very feasible to simulate several seasons in less than an hour. For less than $..., this game is priced right. I'd recommend trying the demo distributed by the company to see if Baseball Mogul 2004 is right for you.

The game offers your standard modes of play. Exhibition lets you jump into a full race on your own, so you can practice tricks and surmise the competition. Freestyle mode lets you practice and get used to performing trick combos. Career sends you off to create your own custom rider and race against opponents to further your career (and unlock various bikes and extra tracks in the process). Finally there's also a Challenge mode (hidden in the options menu), which gives you a task of unlocking cool video clips of real riders performing the stunts. Of course, you can play Exhibition and Freestyle in split-screen multiplayer, which provides the ultimate and most satisfying challenges.
Career mode lets you revel in the accurate bikes available, from 125cc models all the way up to 250cc monsters. Bikes handle about the same, but Career mode lets you dress your custom biker in licensed clothing and puts your number and name on the rider's back.
While the physics--particularly the gravity modeling--is relaxed, allowing you more time to do the stunts, you still have to worry about power sliding and using the clutch to win races and stay upright. It's a satisfyingly deep nod toward simulation while remaining as fun and accessible as an arcade stunt racer should be.
Naturally for a PS2 title, the graphics are sharp and the textures complicated and colorful. It's almost as good looking as the real thing, except the mud you kick up doesn't have to be washed off. --Andrew S. Bub
Pros:
- Great mud-spattering graphics
- Deep arcade action, yet satisfying for the simulation crowd
- Plenty of riders and career mode options
- The music, though rockin', gets really repetitious really fast

One of the best games for Playstation 2!The graphics and sound are top notch, everything looks and sounds awesome. And the game play is super: tap the throttle and watch the riders rev up their bikes, kick your foot out for a slide turn and jam on the gas to whip around turns and avoid bailing out over the hay bales, the game is super responsive and controllable, your skill will make a difference.
And when you get some big air, you can do a few button combos to pull huge tricks, flips, superman, almost any motocross tricks you can think of, you can do them on MX 2002.
I've barely scratched the surface of what you can do with this game, but after spending a half an hour playing it, I'm certain it will be a best seller.
Make this your first game for the PS2 and you won't be dissapointed!
GNARLY GAME!!!!
