    Terrible
The deck was very dumb. After one month i practically threw it away with two dumb booster packs! (well not really i just lost it and didn't care about it IT WAS SO STUPID)The cards aren't durable, are barely fun, and are extreemeeeeeely uneducational.

My favorite card: The no-eyes, no dragon

Good game made BETTER with the fishing controller
The game is good on it's own, but it's a MUST HAVE for the controller! While this game is not as easy as some fishing games (digital fish finder, and not an underwater view.) the robust tutorial mode will have you out on the lake and catching lunkers in no time. It will help you pick lures and land lunker sized bass in other games as well(Great for picking up the Bass fishing basicsbasics!) In addition, it provides great real-world bass fishing tips, tricks, and training (when to use certain lures, ways to cast, ways to do lure action). There are a variety of lakes to choose from, and a couple of different kinds of fish to catch. The tournaments are very challenging, and completeing them all gives you a special reward.

The fishing controller is what makes this a sweet deal. It's compatible with almost every fishing game out there, and adds to the realism of the game. Sometimes with some games the casting is a little sketchy (I thought I put more oomph in it than that???), but all in all it's a nice piece of hardware that makes a good game better.

      No Bass In Alaska-Too Bad!
Bass Landing is the best and most realistic fishing game available. It is a wonderfully intense experience trying to catch the "big one" on a variety of lakes. One of the best features is the realistic action fishing controller, shaped and used as if it were a real rod. Another bonus is the above water perspective that effectively mimics real life fishing, you can't see underwater. Another plus is the replay mode where you can watch the action underwater as you land your fish. The game has an extensive training session and enough variety in tackle to lend to lenghty replay value. Absolutely the best fishing game there is....buy it now! Sir Jub-Jub loves fish.

best, most real fishing game invented
This game is by far the best most acurate fishing game ever made. It even comes with it's own controller that is used just like a real rod. To cast you must swing you arm to get the lure into the water. The same goes for setting the hook when you get a bite. You must jerk your arm back to set it or the fish will get away.

The best part about this game is that you cannot see the fish in the water. When you are fishing you must look for locations that would produce fish, also you must use your fish finder too. It's very real, seasons change in real life and they do in the game as well. In real life you must change locations when seasons change so in the game much is the same.

The level of game play can also change. You can fish in free fish mode. This mode lets you enjoy fishing at your own pace, so you can bulid your skills for the Tournament mode. This mode lets you compete with other anglers for the 1st place spot in the championship. You must learn how to fish under all differnt conditions rain, cold weather, windy, and warm.

This game was made for the fisherman by fisherman. Something you do not see when it comes to outdoor games. Usually games are very unreal, leading to disapointing purchase. Not with this game you will begin happy and end happy!!!!

The game also has many kinds of fish not just bass. There is Trout,Blue Gill,Carp,Snakehead,Largemouth Bass,Smallmouth Bass,Spotted Bass,Florida Bass, and others. pick up a copy you will be impressed. But I'm not liable for sore fingers due to extended game play because it will be hard to put down!!!!!! Enjoy, and good fishing!

        from what ive herd
most people doing a review from what i can tell havent even rode a dirtbike so they think this game is relistic well its not on this game there are no actual roots in turns the rythem section is the easiest and the preloading is bad but if you have only watched or never raced you would like this game (thanks to carmichael and stewart)

        This Game Is The Best
Ive seen the previews of MX 2002 and it looks like a GREAT game. A lot of people told me that the game is Great. Ive played it and the game is awsome. I has great gameplay and awsome graphics. If you get this game you wont regret this. It is worth the money$. I think it is one of the best games have ever played. You should get this game! Ive played all the other MX games for all the different systems and MX 2002 is by far the best out of all the dirtbike games I have played. There are great tracks and a great selection of bikes. The game has 30 of the pros and you do all of fun and great stuff in this game. I cant stop playing the game you could go on and on and never stop the game is great and I love it!

        Best MX Game Available
I have played every MotoX game from Motocross Madness to Jeremy McGrath and this is by FAR the best of them out there. Let me first say that Jeremy McGrath is the worst, should have been a straight trip from the manufacturing line to the garbage can. That said, Ricky Carmichael is certainly the best. From clutch fanning to take the holeshot, to suspension compression for bigger jumps, to powersliding the perfect line through the turns, this game has it all. The computer puts up a great fight, sometimes even landing on you and running you over, so you know you're not going to beat this one and move on due to boredom. Wheelies, stoppies, Nac Nac's, Superman's, it's all here. Great graphics, great tracks and freestyle arenas, great bikes (KTM, Suzuki, Kawasaki etc..) fast gameplay, big hills, huge jumps, I can go on and on and on!!!!

I have been burned one too many times by buying games before playing them or renting, well, I rented this game and it's a keeper!! It will be on my Christmas list for sure!

        Madden NFL 99

Every year the Madden franchise significantly improves upon previous incarnations, and Madden NFL 99 is no exception. 1999's edition is packed with options, including arcade, practice, and brand new franchise modes, which complement the usual fare of season, exhibition, and tournament play. The franchise mode is the most engrossing feature in the game, allowing 15 seasons of realistic play including player retirements, performance-based ratings changes, annual drafts of fictional college players, and the conventional trades, free agency, and salary cap settings.

OK, so the management options are fun--but how does the game look and play? Fantastic. The players are scrupulously detailed and animated, while the improved Artificial Intelligence system makes for a challenging opponent. One flaw is the confounding menu and play interface. It's too complicated and tends to make play-calling too much of a pain. But any presentation qualms quickly go to the bottom of the pile when considering the polished, true-to-life play of Madden NFL 99. --Sajed Ahmed

          Pros:

          • Authentic NFL stadiums and real-life NFL players, from past and present
          • Play editor lets you create your own offensive and defensive plays
          • Team-specific playbooks designed by actual NFL coaches
          • 120 current and classic teams
          Cons:
          • Madden and Summerall aren't quite as garrulous
          • Complicated interface can take some getting used to

great football game for the original playstation
I sometimes wonder about people who buy new football games every year. What changes? Other than a few new rookies. I don't play enough video games to buy a new one every time there is a slight improvement, and I found Madden 99 to be just fine. Game play is good, the graphics are as good as any other football game, and you can save a season or a franchise (you get to 'coach' your team for 14 years). The passing game is good, but the running game is phenomenal. And defense is pretty good. And it isn't as difficult as some of the newer games (you can make it tougher on yourself by playing on a harder setting, without ever getting impossible for the simply average player like myself). This is one of the football games I highly recommend (and I love football video games).

          Madden 99 vs. Gameday 99
Madden 99 vs. Gameday 99: always a source of debate. Maddens strengths are clearly its AI; there are NO "cheat" plays that work every time, and the computer smartly adjusts to your offense. Realistic yardage (yes, you have to punt), and great jukes and moves add to the realism of this game. Unfortunately the sound and speed of gameplay are the only things holding it back. Gameday may be more of a fast, fun fix for the casual footbal fan, but for someone looking for more of a football simulation, Madden 99 is the way to go.

it had an impact on all the sports games of 1999
Not olny are the graphics great but they made a great improvement with the gameplay an the realisic movements of the players. The voice of John Madden is always heard throughtout the game and the crowd nosies and the sound effects have gone under major improvment. Its a great football game to own for your very own entertainment.

            A fun, challenging game.
Snowboard Kids 2 is a very exciting game for all ages. It has many different modes of play, such as Verses, Story Mode and Time Race. You can unlock new boarders when you finish different races. If you get bored of racing (which you probably won't) you can play other arcade style games, such as delivering newspapers to neighbors or catching up to the school bus. The first Snowboard Kids was fun, but this one is great! I recommend it highly.

            Boarding through fun!
Snowboard Kids 2 will enlight kids and adults. As you snowboard, you get coins and points. The game even has a mini village! Buy boards, paint them, deliver papers and more! I give it a 5 star!

            very cute
this game is a lot of fun to play. It's really cute, and easy to control

            Transworld Surf

Transworld Surf was developed by Angel Studios, a game shop known for creating visually stunning outdoor environments. Thus, it's no surprise that this extreme surfing game excels graphically. The waves are realistic and detailed, and make extensive use of the Xbox's lighting and bump-mapping capabilities. All 10 of the game's locations have a distinct look that properly reflects the conditions in each area. Also lifelike are the player models and animations. The sound effects aren't nearly as remarkable as the graphics, but the music is great. The diverse soundtrack features tracks from Nebula, Dr. Onionskin, Cali Agents, Anti-Flag, and Sum 41. Best of all, players can program their own soundtrack from the Xbox hard drive.

Game modes include free surf, single session, multiplayer, and pro tour. The first three modes are self-explanatory, while the last consists of objective-based levels and competitions with the pros. Although the controls are responsive, timing tricks and combos is initially difficult. Unlike in skateboarding and BMX games, the player has to master each trick's timing while worrying about a constantly moving environment. While it may be too daunting for beginners, this is a deep and rewarding game that's a joy to behold. It's to surfing games what Tony Hawk's Pro Skater is to skateboarding games. --Raymond M. Padilla

              Pros:

              • Amazing graphics
              • Responsive controls
              • Good variety of surfers, beaches, and music tracks
              Cons:
              • Relatively steep learning curve
              • Hackneyed level objectives
              • Middling sound effects
              Average review score:

If you've ever surfed, or ever dreamed of surfing, get it.
If you surf, or would like to know what it's like, this is your game. The graphics are intense. Each character even has the exact look and personal style of the real-life surfer after which it was modeled. Each spot in the game is soooo true to life. I've had the great fortune of traveling to some of the spots in this game and from the landscapes to the way the individual waves break, this game nails it! You will actually duck down and to the left when your surfer pulls in at Pipe, Teauphoo, or G-land! Plus, you can push maneuvers that you probably wouldn't try at some florida beach break much less these heavy-hitting marquis spots -- darkslides at Cloudbreak?? Superman airs at Todos?? Stale 540's at Pipe??

If your idea of fun is collecting glowing orbs on screen or shooting things full of holes, go ahead, get one of the 1000 other titles out there. As for me, I haven't really been interested in most of the games out there in the past -- even hawk -- but, I am actually getting the xbox because this game For the first time, a surfing game gets it right.

Go surfing in your living room.

Gamer who already played the demo
2 Words "Pure Fun." This game will knock your socks off on the great gameplay and graphics TW Surfing provides for the gamer! From surfing Huntington Beach, CA to getting the long barrel in Teahupoo, Tahiti (and 8 more great beaches)to hang loose. The gamer can even duck-dive under the wave! Transworld Surfing is definitely one of the reasons i am getting Xbox!

              P.S. BUY IT!!!!!!

Most realistic Surfing game I've ever played
This game is by far the most realistic Surfing game I have ever played. What other Surfing game do you know where you have to paddle out to the line up, duck dive waves, and time your paddle right to drop in? The graphics are great, and the tricks are awesome. It's a very challenging game, in order to unlock levels/beaches, you have to really learn and pull off all your tricks out of your hat. The controls are very simple to learn, it's all a matter of timing your moves right. The hardest thing about this game is if/when you Wipe Out count as negative points and that makes it really tough to score high. Overall, I would recommend this game to anyone who enjoys watching or doing the sport of surfing.

              Knockout Kings 2000
              Made by Electronic Arts

While it never quite achieves Muhammad Ali-like greatness, Knockout Kings 2000 is nonetheless an excellent boxing game for both the enthusiast and the casual gamer. Fifty boxing legends from the past and present are featured in this EA Sports title, along with world-famous arenas and TV-style coverage. In addition to being able to set up your own fights in the standard exhibition mode, you can play out nine of the greatest boxing matches in history in the game's classic mode. And for those interested in less realism and more pugilism, slugfest mode offers over-the-top, arcade-style boxing.

The real crowd pleaser here is Knockout Kings 2000's career mode. Choosing from a wide variety of options, you get to create your own custom boxer, who can fight his way to the top in career mode or participate in exhibition and slugfest matches. Before career fights, customized boxers can be improved by training, or playing various mini-games. (A memory card is required to save custom boxer data.)

What robs Knockout Kings 2000 of the championship belt is its unbalanced 3-D graphics. The boxers look great and move fluidly, but everything else appears flat and unfinished. Thankfully, fast game speed and responsive controls clamp down on the sightseeing, which is one sure-fire way to end up KO'd. --Joe Hon

                Pros:

                • Can create your own custom boxer
                • Features realistic and arcade-style boxing
                • Fast game speed and responsive controls
                • Optional 1-button mode for those who don't want to memorize controls
                Cons:
                • Except for the boxers, graphics aren't very pretty
                Average review score:

Great when it comes to Slugfest, but stinks in Career
This could be a really great boxing game. Some of the best boxers in the world are featured, and the gameplay is excellent. That is until you get into the career mode.

Many of the players lose their skill when going into their careers, and the computer predetermines who will win the next fight. You could be beating the snot out of your opponent, while you give up little health, but he come's right back and KO's you, and the computer won't let you back up.

That's the major problem with this game. Other than that, I have no beef against it.

The Most Fun I Had Since Punchout
This game has a great look, with Boxing Greats like classic Alli to contemporary stars like Lennox Lewis and Evander Holyfield. (not to metion the middle and lightweights) From judge Mills Lane to Caesars Palace, this game IS authenicity. Don't listen to the critics. This game has excellent play control and adequate challenge. The career mode is, admittedly, a bit easy. However, I would like to see the guy who wrote the staff review take on Alli with Spinks or Tua in Slugfest hard mode; not an easy proposition! I'm a big boxing fan and love quality video games. Buy KK 2000, its well worth the money of a Lewis-Holyfield pay-per-view event.

The best game ever since Ready 2 Rumble Boxing!
I like this game. I enjoyed this game alot. I played it this afternoon, and I've never tired of it. The boxers are cool. This is the best game ever. I searched for this in the stores and was disappointed in not finding it there. This is the best game! even better than Ready 2 Rumble Boxing. This game is enjoyable and highly recommended to future gamers! even if the controll is a little slow.

Wow! I don't know what to say. I guess I can sum up by thanking all the reviewers out there. So that's enough of the mushy stuff! I mean! Let's get real here! huh? When am I gonna get some real competition? Come on! don't get silent now! just buy this game and have fun.

                Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2
                Made by Activision
Age Group: 13 years and up
                  Amazon base price: $19.99
                  List price: $49.99 (that's 60% off!)
                  Used price: $4.89
Fans of extreme-sports games looking for a diversion from Tony Hawk will want to sign up for the road trip in Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2, in which you'll join 11 other riders on a tricked-out tear across the U.S.--from Oklahoma City to Hawaii.

But before you can hang with the likes of Mat "The Condor" Hoffman or Ruben "Pollo" Alcantara, it's advisable to practice your chops on the Free Ride or Session modes, especially if you're a newcomer to tricks-based sports games. We spent a good amount of time on Free Ride's open-ended play time to master the complicated sets of controller taps needed to achieve trick points.

The levels that you can ride in either Session or Free Ride depend on what you've unlocked in Road Trip. To get to the next destination, you'll need to complete a set of four challenges not once, but three times (in rookie, semipro, and pro). That can be a daunting challenge, especially for beginners, and for more experienced players it can get a little tedious as you search for the final trick that will push you to the next level. That said, after building some new calluses, we found a satisfying BMX groove and zoomed along on our road trip.

The game also includes several multiplayer options, including HORSE, Tag, Halfpipe Hell, Graffiti War, and Push, where you try to out trick your opponent and make his side of the screen smaller by increasing your side of the screen. Graphically, the game detail is superb--from the bikes and riders to the glitzy lights of the Las Vegas background. Our one major technical beef came from not being able to use our own soundtrack, but the game is populated with some fine tunes, ranging from LL Cool J to Iggy Pop. --Agen Schmitz

                  Pros:

                  • As tricky and fun to master as Tony Hawk
                  • Fantastic graphics--from backgrounds to riders
                  • Numerous multiplayer games

                  Cons:

                  • Can be frustrating for beginners to extreme-sports games
                  • You can't set your own soundtrack

Note: This review refers to the Xbox version of this game.

                  Mediocre title
It sure seems like it's been a long time coming, but now that Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 has finally touched down, was it worth the wait? You bet. Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 is to the original game what Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 was to its predecessor-a whole heck of a lot more gameplay shows up the second time around. Once again, you'll bust out flips, manuals, stalls, grinds, and dozens of other BMX tricks on a road trip around eight U.S. cities. Each level is packed with tons of secret areas, icons, and other goodies; there's also a park editor and eight multiplayer games to extend your ride even further. The character animation is extremely fluid, and there are some nice Las Vegas lighting effects-this is a very pretty game overall. The crisp sound effects are sparse (a few voices here and there, plus the ubiquitous spinning spokes), but the eclectic soundtrack more than makes up for it-Iggy Pop, L.L. Cool J, NERD, and Suicidal Tendencies all in the same place! Whip-smart controls make execution of the dozens of tricks easy, especially if you're a series vet; you can also modify grind and stall tricks now. With any of Activision's O2 games, you kind of know what you're going to get, and that's comfortable. Same here-Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2 offers no major surprises but plenty of refinements to a proven formula. It's a major improvement over the first game.

                  Fine
It alright, but i think Dave Mirra 2 better in many ways. BTW why are their so many reviews by people who hav'nt played the game?

                  "Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX 2
I previewed some of the screenshots for this game and they look very realistic. I gave this game 5 stars due to the first "Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX" which was also a great game. The only thing that upsets me is that it doesn't come out on PS2 untill March 29, 2002 otherwise this game is a must buy.

Access Software's Links LS golf simulation series continues its long-standing excellence with the release of Links LS 2000, another improvement with a wealth of new features and goodies for the computer golfing fanatic.

Growing accustomed to Links LS 2000's control scheme couldn't be easier. Links LS 2000 offers four different swing methods: the new PowerStroke swing, where you actually move the mouse left and right to denote backswing and downswing; the traditional two-click swing; a three-click swing; and a new Easy swing, where striking the ball is as simple as aiming and pressing the mouse button. Furthermore, Links LS 2000 includes many diverse training modes, such as the new "Links Lessons," that ease novice PC golfers into the interface, options, and controls.

With five brand-new courses, including the classic St. Andrews Old Course, as well as the ability to import any of the over 25 Links LS add-on courses, Links LS 2000 should occupy space on players' hard disks for many months. Additionally, players can hop on Microsoft's online gaming service, the MSN Gaming Zone, and complete against other online golfers. Once again, the proven Links LS gameplay doesn't disappoint with 35 different play styles, including stroke play, skins game, and a new wolf challenge mode. --Doug Radcliffe

Continues to be the Purest and Best Golf Simulation
Granted, Microsoft, which recently purchased Access, was resting on its laurels with the release of this year's version. This is not the revolutionary update to the series that the 2001 version is purported to be. Still, with rebate and some new courses it's not totally devoid of charm. The more of the same you get, however, continues to be the strongest simulation in the computer golf genre. I have owned all the versions since its inception, along with all the courses, and have seen its sophistication and polish grow over the years. Many people approach the Links series from different angles with different goals in mind. What they should not approach thinking is that this is a shallow console game that you can control with a gamepad. I golf 3 of 4 times a week in real life at an 8 hcp and have not found a golf game that models the physics of putting and ball striking as well as Links LS does. Punches, flops, bump and run, pitches and chips are all represented choices your avatar/player can choose from. It's always interesting to find yourself moving back and forth between the simulation and reality, where you might tell yourself while on the real course 'now make sure your swing is as smooth and controlled as LS' or inadvertently looking for the non-existent putting grid. LS also helps hone game time decisions such as when to punch out of a wooded area, or to declare an unplayable lie, etc. Each side of the game is helped by the other. In addition to liking the LS series because of its mental/situational parallels to the real thing, I appreciate the meticulously crafted courses. In this version one can actually detect increases in sharpness for many of the objects on the courses included. [The 30 or so other courses are still compatible] One begins to pick up little niceties over the course of the series, like the progression of the fairway and the rough designs and colors. The panoramas have also seen a sharpening; it's just a pity that we will have to wait until the 2001 version to finally progress past the current pixelated players and their square-ish shadows. The new clouds are also more realistic and lend a storm front atmosphere if you want it. Can't comment on the online/tourney aspect of this game, it's usually just me vs the course and my scoring histories. So, if you're upgrading from MS Golf, or entering the LS series completely, this is the appropriate on ramp. If you're a Links lifer you get more of the same strong product as you wait for the big update this fall. Things to look forward to there, the addition of a course designer, new sharply digitized golfers, a preparation for a 3-d world, new courses, and the ability to tune your PC golfer to your real life ball striking physical characteristics [7 iron, 130 yards, etc.]. It's a testament to the strength of the series and Access that it continues to find a home on my HD after more than a decade of constant play. Recommended.

LS 2000 Is The Best Simulation Out There
Links LS is a God send to golf fanatics of all ages. The realism is uncanny and the play is almost as good as being there. The game is easy to play and even offers lessons on how to play better. This software also has internet play built right in. You can play on-line tournaments or even one-one play at The Gaming Zone. Microsoft also sells add on courses that makes you feel like a pro. You couldn't get on these PGA courses in real life, but with Links LS you are there! Don't worry about the software going out of date. I previously owned LS 99 and decided to upgrade. To my surprise, Microsoft offered a $15 rebate if you owned a previous Links LS version. You will be amazed at this game. If you are trying to decide between Tiger's Game or any other sim game, wonder no more. This game is IT!

2001 thru 2003 and no comparison.A look backward by Microsoft
might give them a clue for the future.

The best Yu-Gi-Oh! product out there.
(...) If you are a beginner, buy this. You get the two original Yugi and Kaiba starter decks. Plus the Daek Paladin secret rare card. The DVD was done so amazingly well. It shows you how to play very well. Even my dad said he is going to watch and start his collecting and playing. The mat to place your cards on is great. The 2 decks are so fun to duel with. Plus, I recommend not buying a lot of cards after thisup . These 2 decks should be your main decks. Buy about 8 Magician's Force packs, to power the Yugi deck. And then buy 8 Legacy of Darkness packs for Kaiba deck. Wait you are still not done. Then buy 1 Kaiba Evolution deck. This should cost you about $100. It's a perfect collection. After that, you don't have to buy 1 more pack or deck. They are perfect decks and packs too. I told my friend about this (...) Yu-Gi-Oh combo" and he got the combo for his birthday to start off his collection. Now 4 months later, he wonour championships at our store. He won a 1st edition Pharoanic Guardian 36 pack booster box. Trust me, take my advice.
