When its flat...this is a good game to throw in!!
I've only been surfing for 9 years now, and I have to say that this game was a surprise. One day I was doing some shopping...and just happened to see Championship Surfer ...so despite my low expectations of "surfing video games", as a lover of the sport, I couldn't pass up such a great deal. The game is not bad...it's actually pretty fun. Of course I immediately went to the Internet and got the cheat codes so I could unlock all the waves. The different variations of the waves are fun, and I especially like having the option to change the conditions (weather, wave height, wind direction). The different camera angles are appreciated...and the moves & tricks are depicted fairly well, although I find it difficult to stall and get barreled (or see my surfer get barreled)...but don't we all? The different styles of the surfers out in the water is evident, although I wish that the game had the option to create your own surfer, boards, etc. or a bigger selection of surfers to choose from would have been cool (I guess this came out before Archy joined O'Neill). But all in all, the game if fun and in my opinion, the best (surfing game) on the PS1.

I only wish that I had perfect consistent waves like those to ride in real life...over...and over again...

    BEST SURFING GAME EVER
i have played every surfing game for playstation and playstation2 and this is by far the best. the realism is amaizing it is exactly like real life surfing

    Championship surfer review
This is an exelent game for those who like surfing but just can't hit the beach. It has the realistic seeings of the actual ocean, and is a fun game to play. I would give this game a rating of five stars.

      Great for the younger crowd...
Well this is another installment of the Disney Sports series and has proven to be about the same level as the others. The gameplay is not designed with the true idea of building a sports game in mind, it is designed to atract a younger demographic into the video game industry. Really, it is a good idea for Nintendo to let this game be published because the earlier they can get new gamers hooked, the better off the company will be in the future. I am not saying this is a horrible game because it really is not, it is just sub par. You probably wont have much fun with this game unless you are a big fan of disney or other games for the younger crowd.

Lots of slam dunk action for kids
This game is so much FUN - It's fast moving, there are no penalties for fouls, it's easy to slam dunk, shoot lay-ups, all with special effects. The sports commentator in this game is fun to listen to. This game is my all time favorite. If you like true sports games, you shouldn't buy this one. If you just want to have alot of fun, you will not be disappointed with this game.

Disney Sports Network: Basketball! Almost perfect!
This is a NBA Jam-style game is sweet, instead of 2-on-2 you get 3-on-3, there are no fouls, and the special Disney Magic, THE SPECIAL SLAMS! To earn the right to special slam, press A again as soon as the ball enters the hoop! Do this 3 times to start the magic, to use the magical dunk, press L & R Simultaneously! Be sure not to use while the opponent is near! Use while on a "fastbreak" (when you steal the ball and you are all alone on your opponents side of the court!) The rest is NBA Jam with a Disney twist!

      Worth every penny!!
Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure is the only game that allows players to test their skateboarding skills in the large and imaginative worlds of Disney. Incorporating Activision's powerful Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4 game engine, Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure lets players perform skating tricks just like the pros- but as their favorite Disney and Disney/Pixar characters. Players skate using non-traditional boards like tiki masks and frying pans, solving puzzles as they go

The coolest part of this game is that you really start to feel like you are Buzz, or Woody in a skate park! It was awesome, and the best part is that it isnt a hard game, but it keeps you interested! This one would be great for the whole family!

      This game is good.
When I played the demo of this game, the graphics are good, no blood or guts in this game(I hate blood & guts), you can unlock Lil Romeo as a playable character for all his fans to know, and this game is fun.

      This game....
Rocks! You can grind on rocks! You can grind on rocks...and branches, and dominos. YOu can go to another planet and skate. Grind on the craters! And you can play as the old monkey with the red butt from Lion King. Yes, I repeat, you can skate as the red-butt monkey. That ALONE would get 5 stars from me. But you also get to skate around a pizza parlor and an arcade, oh yah, skate through the pizza oven, no problem. The trick list is exellent and the characters are cool and funny, just like in the movies.

      Fun for the casual gamer
I'm not a gamer, just a casual once in a while PS2-er who likes to break up the monotony. I play this game with my boyfriend using the 2-person option and it's a lot of fun. I've tried the career mode but it's just too difficult for someone like me who only has about an hour a week to play the game.

I have just a couple gripes: I like the fact that you can create your own player -- you choose the face, the hair, the outfit, etc. Would it have been SO DIFFICULT to add female players?

Second, for the two player game, you don't have to option of putting in your name and then allowing your friend to put in their own character to play against you. For example, I log in under my name and when I go to the two-player option, my boyfriend must use one of the player's names and figures, he can't use his own. Plus, even when we do play against each other, we don't have the option of saving our progress and advancing through the ranks. That would have been fun.

      The Best
This game rocks! The gear, the bikes, the music are all worth the price!

      a good game
MTX is a good fun game. it has a sick career mode and u get sponshers like in real life.

        Great purchase
We purchased this for our 4 year old daughter. It was a bit of a hassle to put together but well worth the effort. My daughter and her 6 year old brother love it! I think it has been one of the best purchases we ever made for the kids.
I would recommend it to anyone with kids.

No reviews found for this product.
Kids love the assembled product, parent hated assembly.
The end result is great. My kids (boy 2, girl 4) love it, and, yes, it beats jumping on the bed. Now the downside: assembly. I'm a 6-foot, 185-pound man who undertakes a fair amount of home-improvement work. I.e., I generally know which side of a hammer to hit a nail with.

I found stretching the bungee cord that is the "spring" to be really difficult. It made my hands pretty sore, and it was quite difficult to connect the ends of the cord with the supplied chain-link-like connector. (...) Could it be that there's a goodly amount of variation in the length of the shipped bungee cord? Maybe that would explain why it was hard for me, (...).

A little bit more clarity on the frame-assembly instructions (the instructions consist of four diagrams with maybe a total of 100 words) would have gone a long way. The frame to which the trampoline surface (tarp) is attached comes as four tubular-steel rails that you need to fasten together with a set of bolts/nuts/lock-washers. Furthermore, each frame-rail bolt hole has a countersunk side and a flush side. One would think that the countersunk holes are there to seat the bolt heads and lock-washers, but the rails can't fit that way. Compounding my confusion was the fact that the handle does indeed have the bolt/nut heads countersunk. The illustrations don't clearly depict countersunk heads. One sentence in the instructions addressing the relative positioning of the countersunk holes would have gone a LONG way to clarity. I kept second-guessing myself because the bolts were just a little short (would have benefited much from a 2-mm longer bolt). The short bolts made it really hard to start the nuts with the lock-washers installed. It's one of those cases where you're not sure if you've cross-threaded the nuts because you're pushing hard to compress the lock washer and the nut catches and gets tight in about a quarter turn.

Overall, I think the product could be dramatically improved by better instructions, some longer bolts, and a re-engineered cord-tightening system. I've seen women reviewers claim they assembled this themselves, and I'm amazed unless these same reviewers are former East German Olympians. The strength and effort I expended putting this trampoline together was enough for me to, quite literally, work up a sweat. Then again, maybe I just did something wrong, or I'm really a 185-pound weakling. I never called the company for help; it was Sunday evening, and I assumed they were closed. Perhaps they would have had some assembly suggestions.

On the plus side, the kids love it, and it's a wonderful chance for the parent who's assembling the unit to get a little workout. It's also a great opportunity to shout profanity in frustration, so I suggest putting it together when the kids are in bed.

I haven't had the unit long enough to assess durability.

Ideal for a 2 year old in occupational therapy!
This is a wonderful trampoline for a 2 year old in occupational therapy. It is safe, and not "too bouncy," while at the same time it provides the proprioceptive input that many of our kids need to stay attentive and regulated. Especially great for 2 and 3 year old that have sensory integration disorder...as it provides a safe and comfortable foam covered bar to hold onto while bouncing. Of course if you have older kids around, please remind them that the weight limit is 60 pounds. As we did our floortime play my son would want me to bounce on the trampoline too, I would try to place most of my weight on the bar. But it would be better for therapy if the weight limit were higher and I could have modeled higher jumping for him. By the time your child is 3.5 to 4 this trampoline is "too safe" ...and you will want to graduate to a bouncier model...or use old spring couch cushions.
This trampoline is also a bit time consuming to assemble, takes about an hour.
Still, it was wonderful for a year and a half and I highly recommend it to parents of special needs kids in that age range. Then give it to another new parent of a newly diagnosed kid.

        Fun, Fast, and Flashy
I got this game for Christmas and I knew it was going to be great before I tore off the plastic shrinkwrap and popped the disc into my Gamecube. First of all, the game was created by the masters who brought Ren & Stimpy to life, so you know it will be hilarious. Second, the game uses fun cel-shaded graphics for a more cartoonish look. There are about nine levels, all completely different. There are also about nine crazy characters, from a cool fox man to a fat pig lady and a mummy girl. Here is my review:

Graphics: 9/10 Not epic graphics, but they do wonderfully for their purpose (a cartoon-like game) and they run really smooth and fast.

Sound: 7/10 Sometimes the music can get repetetive and the voices are a little quiet. You can't choose the song for the level, but you won't really notice the repetition. Overall the sound is good.

Gameplay: 10/10 The gameplay is really fast and fun. You whiz around the level, performing different reactions (such as getting started on fire, or covered with dookie, or getting decapitated) and there are lots of special tricks and ramps and rails to keep you busy. The multiplayer could be a little more flexible, since you can only play two people at once, but you can always take turns.

This is one really fun game, and at $20 you can't go wrong.

        Hoffman's Pro BMX

          Amazon base price: $
          List price: $29.99 (that's NaN% off!)

Using the same engine as Road Champs BXS Stunt Biking, Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX uses everything that was good about its predecessor and takes it to another level. Like Road Champs, this game is very easy to play; gamers of any skill level should be able to master the basic gameplay. The developers at HotGen Studios have incorporated eight professional BMX riders into the game, and each pro possesses a set of signature tricks. Tricks are performed in one- or two-button combinations that often mix simultaneous button and directional pad commands. The instruction manual lists the combos for all the basic and signature tricks.

Gamers can tear it up on dirt, street, or vert tracks in a plethora of modes spanning eight locations, 16 courses, and 40 events. As you advance, you'll be rewarded with medals and magazine covers. Earn enough and you'll unlock additional levels and bikes. You'll need to keep a pen handy, as the game doesn't allow you to save your progress--it eschews in-game saves for a password system. Mat Hoffman's Pro BMX captures the perfect blend of gameplay in handheld games--it's easy to learn, yet has enough variety to keep things compelling for a long time. --Raymond M. Padilla

          Pros:

          • Extremely easy to learn
          • Nice music for a Game Boy game
          • A wide variety of gameplay modes and tricks
          Cons:
          • The sound effects are poor
          • You can't save your progress on the cartridge

          eh, its ok
As a bmxer myself i refrain from buying these games, but i was going on a trip so i said what the hell? here is what i thought: the music was horrid, the graphics were ok considering it was gameboy, the trick list was high but they kept combos to a limit of 2 (more realistic but not as much fun), i didn't like the fact that the only way to go on to another level was by entering a password. if u forget to write it down or something u cant get to that level. i lost my passwords three times. the choice of characters was good, but their faces should look better. the game was really easy to beat but i think its probably the best game to get but only if u can't ride or something. GO BMX! RIDE HARD OR GO HOME -tj

          Good game, needs some features
One of the first games I bought for my GBC was Dave Mura Freestyle BMX. And it was good. The rider was small in the overall scope of the scenes, but the number of tricks, and levels surprised me. Then came Mat Hoffman Pro BMX. And life was better. The rider in Mat Hoffman Pro BMX is much bigger than in Dave Mura's game. There are more levels, different types of levels, and more tricks. When it came to tricks in Dave Mura's game, while there is more than one rider - only color is different in actual game play. In Mat Hoffman's game, each rider has their own unique special tricks. Bottom line is that I far prefer the Mat Hoffman game to the Dave Mura game.

Where it lacks, is that it doesn't have any memory. It relies on passwords, which means I need to remember some cryptic password to get back to where I started. Furthermore, when I complete a level, I can no longer play that level without starting a new "career". It took me a few weeks to beat all the levels, but I'd like to be able to go back and play my favorite levels again. Instead, I have to beat all the levels up to that level, then play. When I turn it off, it's right back to ground zero - lame.

One of the Best bmx games ever!!
This game is the bomb ! You can do some of the sickest tricks
          ever!

Dude, this is the narliest game i have ever played! This game is in rips bra. I love how you can get the massive air of the waves at Pipeline. I like to rip it up with Rob Machado. He is so narly. The graphics are tight and i like how not all of the waves are exactly the same on this game.

            Fun even for non-surfers!
This is a very good game, even for people like me who have never surfed in the lives. I just bought it and tried some of the "missions," and I find that the game is fun, that the surfers are easy to control, and since every wave is different you never know what to expect. Plus, I found it dirt cheap.

            Buy This Game
I can't believe no one has reviewed this game... if you like surfing and are familiar with Tony Hawk's Pro Skater, you will love this game... the controls are much the same but obviously it is surfing instead of skateboarding... at the same time there is a lot about this game that makes it unique and basically just awesome it is well worth the money, especially at this price

            NBA Live 2000

A longtime front runner in graphics and playability, EA Sports has tweaked NBA Live 2000's simulation mode and artificial intelligence to create a solid, all-around roundball experience.

The biggest new addition to this year's version, however, is undoubtedly the presence of Michael Jordan. Absent from NBA Live predecessors, the greatest player in NBA history makes an appearance in NBA Live 2000's "One-on-One" mode where the player challenges the legends of the NBA on an outdoor court.

The new Franchise Mode adds welcome simulation depth to NBA Live 2000's quick arcade gameplay. Players assume control of a NBA team and guide them through 25 seasons; juggling rosters, scouting the draft, and number-crunching the salary cap are all requirements of the aspiring NBA general manager. Like previous versions, all NBA teams are included and rosters are updated for the 99/00 season. Furthermore, users can create their own players for the game and even scan in their own likeness with the "Face in the Game" feature.

Once again, EA Sports succeeds in creating a visually stunning basketball game with exciting, intuitive gameplay. NBA Live 2000's numerous features (including three-point shootouts and Internet multiplayer) and improved realism guarantee hours of hoop enjoyment. --Doug Radcliffe

              Mad in Milwaukee
The game is cool, but buyer beware: The version i got has more bugs than the state department.

              A Bargain!
At 15 bucks, this game is a total bargain. I'm not quite sure how EA sports manages to make their games WORSE from year to year, but that is exactly what they did with the NBA Live series.

NBA 2000 is much better than it's 2001 2002 counterparts.

It's a very realistic basketball simulation. My only gripe with it, is that the defense is a little TOO tight. Even with a quick PG, you'll have a very hard time getting penetration on anyone guarding you up close.(in real basketball, it's the other way around).

              Awesome.
If you're considering buying NBA Live 2001, DON'T. 2000 is much better and is cheaper as well. The graphics aren't as good, but they are still very detailed. Many had trouble even installing 2001; Live 2000 runs on even laptops. The gameplay is highly entertaining. Unlike the older versions, it is harder to score and is much more realistic. The franchise mide has also improved. The computer now offers trades. Probably the best addition to this edition is the one-on-one feature. You can play any of todays stars, or the old-timers as well, such as Wilt Chamberlain, Bob Cousy, and Dr. J (no George Mikan though). In exhibition mode, you can play the 50s, 60s, 70s, 80s, and 90s all-star teams. An annoyance is when you trade in franchise mode, you have to stay within the point limit. This is frustrating, but it is also more realistic. If you get really bored, just pick a player at random in practice mode and go for some heavy dunks or wild shots. This game is a winner. I highly recommend buying NBA Live 2000 over the 2001 edition.

                Buy this game!
I think NCAA Final Four '99 is the best college basketball game on the market! the only problem is that the players might have the wrong skin color. There is great collision detection, so the players don't go right through each other like thin air. The difficulty level is right on the mark, so the senior level is really hard. You should buy this game instead of March Madness or Final Four 2000!

OK, but it could be better
This is one of the funnest games in my collection, but it's way too easy. You know that something is wrong when the University of Richmond beats Duke 150-78. The shot meter is a nice touch, but if you use it, it's almost impossible to miss a shot. I would recommend that first time basketball gamers play this, but steer clear if you want a challenging college basketball game.

                Great game
this game is the best not only does it have the normal big name schools but it also has ivory league and stuff like that the only problem is you can't create schools and you have to do thier schedule so of course i was kansas state and won the championship which wasn't easy but then i started a new season and had the same schedule which is an easy schedule because kansas state isn't good at bball but all and all i love this game i'm now lookin for a newer one so i can be updated if i were you i would get this game it doesn't have the names of the players so the year don't matter but i would like to find one where you can create schools
