This figure captures AMAZING quality of detail: the face even looks exactly like Sammy Sosa. We have all seen the "hop" when Sosa connects with one of his long drives, and this figure captures that trademark of Sosa's effectively.
I just hope that Macfarlane can pull off production of Babe Ruth, Ty Cobb, Jackie Robinson, Joe DiMaggio, and most of all - Ted Williams.
Those would be classics.

The game lets you play exhibition games, shoot around in an outdoor practice court, or take on a full season (which can run 12, 28, 56, or a full 82 games). Graphically, NBA Basketball 2000 looks pretty good but lacks much of the polish and flash of EA's NBA Live 2000. Also, although many of the NBA stars in this game have been made to look like their real-world counterparts, most players on the court look plain and blocky.
Controlling your players is simple enough, but the artificial intelligence is so weak that you can often march a player right down the court and to the hoop without any difficulty at all. Of course, you can miss easy, open shots, while the computer routinely nails 70 to 80 percent of its jumpers, even from three-point range. The result is deceptively simple basketball action that often frustrates players with unfair game results.
Other weaknesses: spoken play-by-play and color commentary are usually weaknesses in sports games, but in this one these features are particularly lousy. Also, NBA Basketball 2000 offers a paltry array of game modes and in-game features. There is no draft option, for example, and players have only four offensive plays to choose from during a game.
Overall, NBA Basketball 2000 is suitable only for bargain-bin shoppers. Serious basketball fans will take no pleasure from this game. --Michael E. Ryan
Pros:
- It's cheap
- Decent graphics
- Terrible AI
- Limited game-play features
- Bad play-by-play

Realism is maximized in this 2003 edition. Highly detailed player models reflect the size, shape, and attitude of real NFL players and include variable accessories such as gloves, wristbands, facemasks, taped fingers, and quarterback play sheets. Momentum-based motions provide some of the most bone-crunching, realistic animation of any football video game to date. The power and glory of high-impact football are portrayed in vivid detail, courtesy of dynamic lighting, real-life reflections, and dramatic shadows. NFL Fever 2003 contains the most accurate stadium models of any Xbox football game. NFL Fever 2003 delivers the tightest and most responsive game controls available in sports games. The commentary and crowd respond intelligently to what's happening on the field. If gamers' home teams are playing poorly, the fans will let them know.
The game doesn't just look and sound good. It also features innovative gameplay enhancements, most notably with online play. NFL Fever 2003 makes it easy for gamers to test their skills against other gamers online. In addition, gamers can play in the same weather as their team's home city. Dynamic Player Performance Model offers gamers a stake in the development of both NFL players and teams. Football players improve as the gamer gets better. In dynasty mode, gamers can play multiple seasons and unlock past Super Bowl championship teams that will become on-field opponents as a part of the game players' future schedules. Gamers can rewrite the record books with amazing statistics to enter the Hall of Fame.

nfl fever shines over madden and 2k3Problem 2 When I break open a good run and get out in front of everyone and run I can never take it in for the score, someone always runs me down, however this is not true for the computer if they break a run on you say goodbye, I had a lineman run down Trung Canidate one day(his speed on my career mode is up to like 96) that really gets on my bad side.
Problem 3 There are no red flags? what is up with that? if madden could do it, why cant you? I really didnt understand that one, however I did notice in madden sometimes the ref. makes really really bad calls almost blatently, just to make you throw the flag, and that gets old.
Other than that, I would only add in some new tackles for effect and then I would say you could have the best football game ever. If anyone tells you madden is better tell them they are getting to old, because the controls and speed of this game blow madden outta the water, football is a fast fast game, and madden plays like my grandpa and his friends are out on the field. Also in madden the run game is non existent, and you can put together a really good running game on fever. So get fever for what like 20 bucks now right? and then wait for next season, (Browns all the way baby)

As always, the detail on these figures is pretty impressive. Notice that Gannon's fingers are not completely on the football, that his veins are bulging on his throwing arm, and that Brooks has a breathe right strip on his nose. You will also find dirt on strategic parts of each uniform, another defining element of these figures from McFarlane. The Gannon and Brooks figures are each pretty good all by themselves (I know there is an individual figure of Gannon in the Raiders' black jersey), but this is a nice set. There is at least one other similar set out there, with Brett Farve and Brian Urlacher (so you know the QB got the pass away in that set). So, the bottom line is that Bucs fans can pick this up and actaully have something to show for this year's postseason. Besides, it could be worse this morning. You could be Vikings fans...

I highly recommend this figure to anyone who loves collecting McFarlane figures. It is one of the best so far. If you love the Maple Leafs, or hockey in general, I recommend this figure.

PROS:
-If you're new to the Pokemon card game and don't have adequate cards or knowledge of the game to assemble your own deck, this starter deck makes an excellent alternative.
-You get counters that make marking damage during the game easier, as well as light coin that's easier to flip than standard American money coins are.
-It's a good value.
-This also makes a good set if you're a guy like me who has been away from the card game for a while, and has missed out on recent expansions, as well as the new card types and rules that go along with them.
CONS:
-The only thing really wrong with this set is that it doesn't include any sort of playing surface. Playing surfaces greatly help new players of the game.
-If you're strictly a collector of the cards (and not a game player), you should stick to buying booster packs.
OVERALL:
If you're new to the game, this makes an excellent way to start. Buy this, then buy some booster packs, and you can mix and match the deck to your liking. With just a few alterations, you can make the finest Pokemon card deck the world has ever seen!
McFarlane put out a Sammy Sosa figure with the first series, which showed the Cubs slugger at the plate earlier in his post-swing after bashing another long ball over Waveland Avenue. So this Series 6 figure would come after that one, except in the first one Sosa had the blue Cubs jersey and this one has the road grey (a white/pin-stripped version in also available). Ironically, I always liked the way Sosa stands coiled at the bat waiting for the pitch, so I would not have minded that being selected as the pose. On the other hand, what other McFarlane sports figure can you use to make snow angels? There are also figures of Sosa's Cub teammates Kerry Wood and Mark Prior, so you might as well make an effort to track down the big three of the Chicago Northside.
