I liked it.........For a while
Awesome old school fun! 20 games in 1!You start with 6 games: Fire, boxing, rain shower, Mario's cement factory, donkey kong jr, and donkey kong 3. As you get higher and higher scores for each game you get more games! You can unlock: Chef, Mario bros, donkey kong, octopus, and fire attack. All the games are replicated exactly like the original LCD hand-helds, the "clear colored background sheets" are beautifully recreated by the GBA. Then there is a modern version for each game, the graphics are updated, famous nintendo characters are used, the movements smooth rather than "spot to spot", and for most part the game play remains similar. Then you can unlock 9 more games but they can only be played in classic mode: Manhole, tropical fish, Mario's bombs away, parachute, bomb sweeper, climber, safebuster, life boat, and zelda. Mario's bombs away is a great game and the orignal hand-held was cool and worked like a projection tv with glowing colors. The "time keepers/alarm ring holders" are eliminated, it would be nice if they were kept for cool visual purposes. For the double screen games such as donkey kong, one screen is shrunk down and you can toggle between the two screens, Nintendo messed up here a bit but you can't really blame them...
This is a must have for all old school gamers. Its also a great chance to play and cherish other game & watch games you always wanted to play or own but didn't because you can't afford them all back in the days.
I urge younger generation gamers to give this a try. The gameplay is very simple, logical, fast, and yet challenging.
I want to thank Nintendo for making this game! Another one would be nice, gallery 5?! There are plenty of other great game & watch games such as Donald & Mickey and Popeye. Other games from gallery 1, 2, and 3 should be made into GBA format like the 4. Some of them are: Egg/Mickey mouse, oil panic, green house, and snoopy. Overall this game is totally awesome, a must buy.

It is fun
More like FIFTEEN games in one!Game & Watch Gallery 3 is described as 5 games in one, but it is really more like fifteen. The first five games are: Egg, Greenhouse, Turtle Bridge, Mario Bros., and Donkey Kong Jr. Each of these games was originally available as an LCD Game & Watch title (the handheld game also served as a timepiece, hence the name). Each game has a classic (the original LCD game) and modern (updated with flagship Nintendo characters) mode, and they are different enough for me to consider them to be separate games. For instance, in the classic version of Egg, you control a wolf trying to catch eggs as they roll down ramps. In the modern version of Egg, you control Yoshi and use your tongue to swipe cookies as they roll down ramps, at the same time making sure not to eat any Bob-ombs. While the basic concept is the same, I consider this to be two games. Each game has two difficulty settings, and the modern games have a third extra-hard setting when you have earned more than 1000 points on a game.
An interesting aspect of this cartridge is the rewards system. While playing the games, you collect stars. One star is earned for every 200 points you get in a game. The stars open up new options in the Gallery part of the game, accessible at the main menu. In the Gallery, you can play with music, get tips on the games, visit a museum to view information on classic Nintendo games (you can see more stuff if you link with other Game & Watch titles), and view other secrets. After you earn 50 stars, you are able to view a cute little animation. While I am no where near having all of the stars, I believe there is a total of 120.
I said that I consider this cartridge to be fifteen games in one and the rewards system is where the extra five games come from. As you earn certain numbers of stars (I'm not sure of the exact numbers), you are able to play extra games. The extra five games are Judge (also a 2P game if someone else has Game & Watch Gallery 3), Flagman, Lion, Spitball Sparky, and Donkey Kong II. These games do not have a modern mode.
The best feature of this cartridge is the ability to pause a game you are playing and then turn the Game Boy off. When you turn it on again, your game will still be at the place where you paused.
Overall, Game & Watch Gallery 3 is an excellent game. While it is true that it can get boring if you play it long enough, it is still fun enough to come back to later. With the variety of games on the cartridge, it is an excellent travel game for long roadtrips/flights. Definitely a five star game.
Great for little kidsEnjoy.
Worth the money.

Only for fans
Great Game, with some issuesFirst, the good things. It's certainly true to the board game. It includes all of the properties and pieces that you find in the original board game, plus the extra ones found more recently such as the sack of money. Basically, if you like the board game, this is a great computer game to own and it's fun to play.
One of the best features that it has is the ability to add "custom rules." You know the rules I'm talking about - rules that we always include when playing in real life, but are not exactly in the monopoly rules (such as a Free Parking Jackpot). These custom rules also allow you to change the amount of money you start with, the amount of money for landing on various spaces, and deal out all of the properties at the start of the game for a shorter game. The music is catchy and the voices are good (sometimes annoying, but they can be turned off). You can also play with custom boards or boards from the "cities" versions of the game.
Now, the bad things. On my computer, I'm having a redraw problem where sometimes the buttons stay on the screen but disappear when moused on. I suppose this could be an anomoly and/or a conflict with my video card. However, a major problem is that your settings (such as turning off voices) are not kept for the next game you play, Nor are they kept if you restore a saved game. Also, a computer player can interrupt you at any time to build houses/hotels or offer a trade, which can get irritating when you're trying to research something and you have to wait for it to go crazy with trades and/or building.
The extra boards are just plain buggy, with names of properties at times not matching chance cards, deeds, and/or voices. I also have had problems getting custom boards and the calculator to work properly. I spent 2 hours creating a custom board, only to find that when I tried to use it, it would no longer load in either the board creator or the game itself.
In all, this is a great Monopoly game that I enjoy playing. However, it has some bugs and issues that need to be worked out. I'm hoping for a patch.
The Classic RollWith this edition of Monopoly for the P.C., it goes a little bit further, with the dazzling sound effects and animation. Although I've played it originally for the original Nintendo Entertainment System, I rediscovered that joy on P.C. The realisic graphics and animation are just amazing, but the one drop theme music is a little bit batty. The other thing I like about this game is the different gameplay boards. It is like getting ten different Monopoly games for the price of 1. That actually works a little bit more, because you don't get board and bored within the same board. Still, I was surprised about how long it takes until the game ends, but that is another story. What I also like about this version, is that you also can customize your very own style of the game board, to add more of the fun in the game.
Still, I got my version through an offer for a free CD-ROM version of Monopoly through a cereal box offer. But, if you love the classics with your kids, I really think this would be a great gift for anybody, even if you have to play alone. I just wish that more of the great classics could make it this big for the computer as soon as possible. Sometimes, you need to search like a wild goose chase to make it work. Hopefully, you won't have to with Monopoly.
