Great!I bought this for my daughter for her 1st birthday not realizing it is recommended for 4 yrs and up. Well, my 3 year old son took it right over! And she loved it too! My son took it to bed with him in the box the night before her birthday and did not want me to wrap it for her the next morning. He loves it to say the least. He never had a Barney toy before so that might make it even more special to him. He likes helping Barney take his jacket on and off, shoes, etc. My daughter just likes hugging it! It is very soft and cuddly.

Just another singing/talking toyThese are cute and fun and my daughter loves Barney and loves the Barney song. She plays with this every once in awhile but this is by no means one of those must-have toys.

Wonderful!I bought Barney for my two month old. She loves him. This toy has helped sing baby to sleep plenty of times. She already loves to hold him tight! He goes where "we" go..and she loves to hold on to him when we go for rides.
My daughter loves this Barney.My 20 month old daughter loves this Barney. She takes it everywhere and sleeps with it every night. I have not had any problems with the velcro which conceals the battery pack. However, it is hard for little ones to push the mechanism which makes Barney sing the "I love you" song. However, that doesn't seem to bother my daughter, she just loves to cuddle with it. It is the perfect size for a child her age. I would recommend this toy to any parent who has a child who likes Barney. Just be prepared for your child to ask you to make Barney sing when she wants to hear the song.

he cant dancehe made me cry becuase he said i couldnt dance with him so i through barney in the oven and set it to 300 deegrees and he dont make fun of me no more so take your barney and BUUUUURN THHHEM ha aha ah ahaha hahahahahaha!!!!

My 20 month old baby boy LOVED IT!!!!!!!!!My baby can`t stop playing with this toy. He takes barney everywhere he goes. This toy is not only for four years old toddlers, it was also perfect for my 20 month old baby.
My 15 Month Loves this BarneyI bought this for my daughter when she was 12 months old. She liked it fine but now it is her favorite toy. She loves to dance and now she knows how to squeeze Barney's hand to make him move. Therefore, all she does is squeeze his hand and dance around and then he stops so she presses his hand and dances some more. She has a lot of fun and this has been going on for a month. I disagree with Amazon. I believe children under 3 can have a lot of fun with this Barney. Good Luck!

Great buy for the priceJust bought this for my 2 yr old daughter and she loves it. I have been teaching her manners, and this just reiterates my efforts. I can often overhear her saying "please" and "thank you" as she's playing with the register. She enjoys opening and closing the register, playing with the money, and especially the fun noise it makes when sliding the credit cards in the designated slot. Great with learning numbers too. My only complaint would be that the register where the money is held is too small. Other than that, great buy for the money!

A bit obnoxiousThis is a cute toy, and its compact size makes it great for travel. I just bought it today for my Barney-crazed child, so only I have put it to the test thus far. My main comment would be, "Thank goodness for the volume 'off' button on the paintbrush!" When you are drawing, this toy is non-stop with giggles, noises, and phrases. It grows old very quickly. I'll be back soon to let you know what my daughter thinks...

Simply put the Move ‘n Groove Dance Mat on the floor and let your child dance the day away. The keyboard makes six different notes, the instrument icons play various tunes, and when the picture of Barney is stepped on, he will issue instructions to step on the blue footprint, step on the red footprint, etc., and even congratulate the child when she steps on the correct spot. The furry, inflatable Barney figure spins around when music plays, an effect that would be better if he didn't tilt weirdly to one side. Nonetheless, Barney is still a nice bonus with this mat since, being removable, he is a fun toy in his own right. True, the combinations of things you can do may be limited, but the physical and interactive qualities of this toy are a big plus. --David Stoesz

Barney Dance Mat, not so Super DuperThe Barney doll is a blow-up doll and does not stand up properly on the stand even when it is at filled at capacity with air. It just turned out to be a big noise-making mat that our toddler dances on.

Fun, but Barney DeflatesWe may have purchased a defective one then because Barney will either deflate while trying to spin or he will come out the base (I even tried to double-tape the bottom of his feet to the base, but that didn't work either). My 2 year old loved this toy, but since Barney doesn't stay put (or deflated), it made her upset, so we ended up throwing it out. I didn't realize that not everyone had this problem (from the other reviews I have read). Maybe, we just purchased a "bad" one or something.

Highly RecommendI bought this for my daughter when she was 18 months old. She loved it, she is now 3 and still plays with it. We have taken it on many trips and it held up great. It is not so much educational as it is entertaining. I would highly recommend this toy.

Great toy!I bought this for my son when he was 18 mos. old and he is now 2 years old and plays with this everyday! It is definately his favorite toy. The doors do come off easily but they snap right back on and I think this is so they don't break. It has really been worth the money!!

beth's mommaMy daughter received this from Santa when she was 1 1/2 and has played with it almost every day since. Yes the doors and stuff come off easily, but they pop right back on. I would much rather have them pop off then have it brake b/c kids are rough on toys! Her Little People and other small figure toys also have lots of fun on the slide and car. It was definatly well worth the twenty bucks!

not great material for a bath!I purchased this for my son who loves Barney. It's a great idea, but the material is not suitable for water. It's almost like taking a real stuffed animal in the tub...I didn't see any difference in stuffing. It's almost impossible to wring the water out. Anyhow, it's a toy and my son loves Barney!

Can't hear it!!I do not recommend this toy - our daughter enjoyed pushing the buttons until we took it out of the box. The warning about the volume reducing once you take it out of the package can't be seen until you've already done so. And it's not a terrible idea - a lot of toys are so loud these days - but it's so low you cannot hear it. DO NOT BUY THIS TOY!!!

You can play at the store, but not at home!My son was so excited when we purchased this toy. After opening the package, the volume reduced drastically. My son got frustrated and went back to playing with his singing barney. After changing the batteries which made no difference, I noticed inside the packaging there is a note printed: VOLUME OF TOY WILL REDUCE SIGNIFICANTLY WHEN TAKEN OUT OF PACKAGING FOR SAFETY REASONS. I was furious, because that notice should have been outside the package! Not inside after you buy it. So, you can play with it at the store, but take it out of the box and you can barely hear it. I'm returning it today!

Why buy it if you can't hear it!I was so disappointed in this toy. My son adored this toy in the store and when we took it out of the box the volume of the phone drastically reduced! I changed the batteries and still it was barely audible. After much frustration, I noticed a warning INSIDE THE BOX AFTER YOU PURCHASE IT. IT STATES: VOLUME OF TOY WILL REDUCE AFTER REMOVING FROM BOX FOR SAFETY REASONS. How unfair. This notice should be outside the box, not AFTER you purchase it. I am so upset. My son already forgot about the toy and pulled out his barney doll that can talk to him & hear!
