    Nothing to Fear in Dragonland.
This adventure was just right for my son who doesn't like playing games with "bad guys" or anything that keeps him from reaching the goals of the game. This Dragon Tales game is very pleasant with a variety of stories with tasks that need to be completed. It might be too mellow for kids who like a lot of excitement, but it's just right for the mellow kid.

      multi-faceted but not very challenging
Up to four players can participate in this game. Each has a 6-piece puzzle to complete, and at the start of the game all puzzle pieces are turned upside down in a communal pile; when appropriate, players will choose 1, 2 or 3 pieces and keep those that add to their unique puzzle. Movement is through the use of a spinner, and sometimes players will dance or sing for extra puzzle pieces, or choose a place to "jump to". The strength of the game is that there are a number of skills employed and it is a treat for real Dragon Tales enthusiasts; however, the game is not terribly challenging and will not remain interesting overlong.

Not a favorite in our home
First the positive- this game is fun for young children. It encourages children to think a little bit as they land on places where they can jump to anywhere on the board. And, the kids do have to put a six piece puzzle together.

Second, the not so positive- this game is not so fun for adults. There are other fun games that both kids and adults can play. This game is also very easy. VERY EASY for a four year old and yet four year olds are what the Dragon Tale game and show is supposed to be geared for, so there is not a good match there in my opinion.

Basically your child will have a game token with one of the Dragon Tale characters on it. You spin a spinner and move your piece that many places. You land on some places where you get to pick a puzzle piece up and some you have to give up a puzzle piece. When you have collected your puzzle pieces together and made your puzzle work, you have won the game. There are only about four spots that provide you the opportunity to pick up a piece or lose a piece. Also, one spot lets you pick up three pieces at once and another spot lets you pick where you want to go on the board. So, depending on how the game goes- it can be over VERY quick or last a long time.

There are some great games out there for young children. Penguin Pat is one we have enjoyed, Memory and others. This one is fine if yoru child LOVES Dragon Tales and will enjoy it because of the show connection. However, there are other games I'd get over this one.

      Enjoy.

      A Fun & Educational Game
This game was purchased two (2) years ago for my daughter who was 4 yrs. old at the time. She LOVED playing this game! Even now she will still play with it, although it is losing a lot of its challenge due to the fact that she can now very easily match up the pieces. Her younger sister (who is now 4 yrs. old) has been playing it with her big sister since it was purchased. So she's been playing it since she was 2 yrs.old! My younger daughter still enjoys this game very much. It is a very fun way to develope a child's memorization skills. There is no reading and/or counting required to play this game; so in my opinion, it is a good game for a child as young as 2 yrs. old (if they have the attention span!). It is a very fun and enjoyable game. I recommend it for either boys or girls, Dragon Tales fans or not!

All young dragons must learn how to fly before they can venture out into Dragon Land! While playing Dragon Wings, players will attend Quetzal's School in the Sky and undergo rigorous training to learn how to use their wings. They'll be expected to learn everything from the basics, including hovering and wing flapping, to the challenging, including carrying treasures, using their dragon breath, and flying in formation. Once they've mastered all of those lessons, they'll graduate into a full-fledged dragon and will be ready to embark for Dragon Land, where they'll journey through and fly over exciting places--just like on the show. There are plenty of challenges throughout with Emmy, Max, Cassie, Zak & Wheezie, Ord, and Quetzal on hand to give players clues and help along the way. Dragon Wings features 15 different levels and three age-appropriate skill settings designed especially for fans of the hit show. Young players are sure to enjoy the exciting challenge of searching for the treasured dragon scales while keeping their eyes peeled and wings flapping.

Not as easy as you'd think
Cute games, but challenging even for adults. My boys don't play it often because it is tough.

        Pretty Good Game
Dragon Tales: Dragon Wings can be frustrating at times, but can be fun all the same. I have to say the age recomendation is kinda off and should be for slightly older players, I even had a slightly hard time playing it on some of the levels! But there are many qualities to the game though. For instance it teaches a young child to follow directions to accomplish a goal, and teaches a child how to use a Gameboy Color. Some wonderful features about the game inculde choosing between Ord or Cassie as characters to control in the game. Also there are 3 levels of difficulty easy, medium, or hard depending on how skilled your child maybe, and for each level there are 3 kinds of trophies to get apon complishion of a level which are bronze, silver, and gold. With each new level your child learns more and more actions to do with the dragons and eventually they must use multiple tasks in a level to get the job done which lets them use what they have learned to do. Thank you for reading this review and I hope it may have helped you.

        Lots of fun!
I bought this game for my 5 yr old daughters birthday, she's using it on a GBA she also got as a gift for her birthday. My 8 yr old has also tried this game on her GBC and she said it was the most fun she'd ever had with a game. Both of my daughters were thrilled to add this game to their collection.

          1st timers
This game is Great for 1st time players. Level 1 is really Simply all the child needs to do is push one button (the arrow) and the game does everything (it may seem really easy and quit dumb to very experience video game players) But on level 1 my son learn how to use the arrow button to walk once he master that then on level 2 he learned how to use the arrow & x button to jump. Then on level 3 & 4 takes more work moving, jump searching and by playing the level (not jumping right to 4) and he is getting better at the controls and can now operate games he couldn't before.

I would never buy this again...
i read mixed reviews on here, but my little girl loves dragon tales so much that i purchased the game and hoped for the best. boy was i sorry. i despise this game. all the complaints people made in the previous reviews are correct, and then some. my little girl is 5 and she gets so frustrated with the game she will hardly play it. she won't play it at all without me there. she loves dragon tales so she keeps wanting to give it a try, but only gets frustrated time and time again. i hate this game. i do not recommend it to anyone, even little die hard dragon tale fans will be annoyed with it. TERRIBLE!!

          dragon tales down falls
The video game is very colorful and the voices are the same that you would hear on the t.v. show and it provides learning skills to your child or children which is a good thing but the real down fall of the game is. It is to simple your child will win this game in just 1 hour it is a very short game and also the game gets stuck at times and it skips over the voices to needless to say if you are looking for a game that is for a very young child in the age range of 3-4 years old this is the game for you.You can really teach your kids shapes and colors but only with your help this can be done my child didn't know a square from a circle but now he does and it took just 1 hour for him to learn this and i am very proud of him and i say thanks to the makers of this game so if your child needs to learn his or her shapes or colors please get this game for them you will love yourself for it later.
