There's not much that's cooler than your own star.I'm giving this to my 21-year-old boyfriend for Christmas. The bear will be a funny little gift from me to him, and the chance to name his own star will really make this Christmas special for him. He'll really think this is very cool. I'm thinking of getting one for myself, as well, because I'm jealous of his chance to name a star. Plus the bear is so cute!

SecuritySo many children have problems falling to sleep at night and I think this might be the perfect answer to our problems for all ages from 2-9. I am buying 3, one for my 9 year old daugher, one for my 8 year old son, and one for my two year old nephew. Not only can they learn by naming their own star they take an interest in astronomy as well. They can also cuddle the sweet bear that gives them light in their room, too. What a great idea! Thank you! Then they have a collectable which is for all ages. Thanks again.

Love itWe got 4 of these as CHRISTMAS gift for our Grandchildren. I love the idea of them having a star to watch that they have named. We did for 2 girls and 2 boys and their stars are all about in the same area of the big bear. How great to look at your star and see your cousins who lives in Texas. The bears are so cute with their glow in the dark stars and their blanket.

Soft and cuddlyOut of all the stuffed animals my son has received, this is his absolute favorite. It is soft and cuddly and he loves to hug it and kiss it when it gets close to nap or bedtime. He is now 20 months old and loves to have it next to him when he sleeps. When he wakes in the morning he makes us bring his doggy with us before taking his juice cup. I don't think it's machine washable but I did have to stick in the dryer after he dunked it into the cat water bowl and it came out fine.

Care Bears Stare!!!!!Wow Care Bears has come a long way since the first movie that they stared in(we have both movies on viedo). Now they have plenty of clothes,accesserious, and most of all TOYS!!!! But the toy I bought was the Cheer Bear plush doll. It is a very fun toy.....well maybe not fun but cute and very fun to show off. I loved it AND all my freinds did! I would sooooo reccomend it to kids of all ages 12 to 20 or even 9 to 90!!!! I loved it! Well bye!!!

Finally.Finally The Muppet Babies on DVD. What I can't understand is why with a doll. The DVD's say "not for individual sale". I am 21 years old. I do not play with dolls. But I bought them just for the DVD. Luckily, I have a 5 year old nephew. He loves the dolls. This is worth your money. But there could have been more than one episode per DVD.

my daughter loves thisfirst of all...this is only too loud if you put it on a table or a hard wood floor. this is meant to be put on a bed or rug. then the volume is just right!!!

TOO LOUD!My daughter received this as a gift, and although it's a cute concept, the electronic noises that is makes are so incredibly loud and annoying that I doubt anyone keeps the batteries in the thing longer than two minutes. I think it's actually dangerously loud, in that it may damage a child's hearing if used for a prolonged period of time and, with no volume control, what you hear is what you get.
That said, with the batteries removed, my daughter does enjoy playing with it.

Dark hair and eyes do not an "ethnic" toy makeI love the Raggedys and had the red-haired version as a child. This doll holds the same classic charm, but if the makers are marketing it to an "ethnic" consumer, which? It just looks like the same Raggedy with dark hair and eyes. Please educate your vendors to sell more realistic representations to the ever-growing "ethnic" market. Our kids see enough (what? "non-ethnic" representations) on TV. It's important that the dolls actually look ethnic if they are to be called ethnic, but dark hair and eyes do not an "ethnic" doll make. Got a brown-skinned Ann? An Ann with an Afro or braids or dreadlocks? Got an Ann with pretty Asian eyes? I'd buy any of those, but would not confuse my chocolate nieces with a doll that really doesn't look like them. Sorry.

So soft.... Daughter Loves it!Although this is simply a stuffed animal it has brought so much fun for my daughter! This dog is very durable and soft also.. she lays her head on it at night and looks at books. We renamed the dog "Pinky" and it is a great pet for little ones!
