    My son loves this toy!
My 21-month-old son enjoys watching the show on PBS, so I thought this would be the perfect toy for him....and I was right! He loves to play with all of the pieces, especially the light tower that really lights up; he can even do light it up by himself. The price may seem a little high, but since the planes and fire engine "talk" and the light tower lights up, it's worth the money.

    WONDERFUL!
What a wonderful surprise. I had purchased the Tarrytown playmat and was just looking for the characters for my 3-year-old son to play with on the mat! This set is much, much better then even the "little people" airport (too many bulky parts). I thought i was just getting plastic figures...when i realized they talked, the airport opens up and the lighthouse really works...I was shocked (i am not use to toy makers going above and beyond expectations). My 3-year-old and 13-month-old played with this for an hour without fighting. I noticed this toy isn't receiving 5 stars from others in "educational". I highly disagree. Imaginary play is so very important in a child's development and it has been a long, long time since I have encountered toy that sparks the imagination. I am glad I also purchased the playmat and the "5 character set"...these 3 items make a perfect playzone. However, a parent should keep this item out of a child's room if they plan on using "go to your room" as a punishment.

    Great Toy!
I bought this for my boys for Christmas. They are age 5 and 20 months now. They both play with it a lot. They planes and engine all talk. and the tower even lights up. One of my sons favorites! Very easy to store. I would highly recommend this toy!

      Mother of 3 small children
Our son received this toy for his 5th birthday. It was difficult to figure out at first but once we got it working it was a lot of fun. It works best in an open parking lot with lots of space for the cycle to go. Fun toy for the price.

      great toy
My son received this as a gift, and it is a great toy. A whole lot of fun, works great, does wheelies, goes really really far. My son is 7 and it took him about 10 minutes to get used to doing it. He loves it, and no batteries!!

        GREAT PROGRAM FOR FLIGHTSIM 98 & 2000
This is one of the best aircraft paint programs available for FS98 and FS2000. To have the second best buy this although I think Aicraft Factory 99 is better!!

        GREAT PROGRAM FOR FLIGHTSIM 98 & 2000
Great program if you like to build and paint your own aircraft. Even though I would recommend Aircraft factory 99 this is till a great product!!!

Radio Controlled Launch Pad Helicopter: Red Deco 27Mhz

The lightweight, plastic propellers and a red-and-yellow foam body on this spy copter don't make it very sturdy, but it has an arsenal of "high performance specs" that should balance vulnerability with greater agility. A few of them include altitude and rotor speed indicators, a "flight stabilizing" system, and proportion control, all of which help his lift up to 50 feet. Those features are considerate, but kids won't even care about those doodads once their bird takes flight. Of course, it's not very large (more like a grasshopper than a spy copter) but lots of fun is packed into it. Plus, its quick-charging station doubles as a cool launch pad, complete with an input jack shaped like a fuel nozzle. Included: instructional video. Required, eight "C" batteries for launch pad; six "AA" batteries for remote control. Diane Beall

          helicopter fun
This helicopter is awesome. It is very durable and flies great. it charges in three mins. and flies for two. You can keep control easily when there is no wind. I have so much fun with this toy but you need a ton of space like a wide open field

          my husband loved this!
I bought this rc helicopter last year for my husband and he absolutely loves it. He has taken it out and had so many people (especially grown men) ask him where he got it and how can they get one. It takes bumps and imperfect flying without falling apart, recharges quickly and takes very little skill to fly. I'm buying my brother-in-law one this year for Xmas. Boys and their toys..........

Sabre Jet 3D Nylon Airplane Kite
          Made by Gayla
            Amazon base price: $14.99
Chuck Yeager never had it so good. With this 3-D, swept-wing airplane kite, anyone can try for the sound barrier. The Sabre Jet monoplane kite has a 55-inch span, green wings, and a 38-inch black fuselage. Round openings of 3.5 inches at the nose and tail fill the kite with wind to keep it aloft. Bending struts keep the frame rigid and give the body a pleasing upward curve. The Wind Spinner tail stretches out several feet behind. A winder/handle and flying line are included. Does the color matter to you?
I haven't taken the kite out of the package yet, as I may be returning it--I'll take the previous reviewer's stars at face value and just repeat them here, since I can't post a review without them. The item advertised, and selected as a gift by my nephew, is green and black, but the one I received is red, white and blue--great for the times, of course, but not the colors he expects and thought were so cool. If my nephew likes the colors anyway, I'll keep it. But if the colors will be different from what is advertised, that ought to be stated somewhere in the copy--especially if there is no opportunity for the buyer to choose.

            This is a KITE!
We bought this kite for our son for a vacation in Aruba - average daily wind speed 20 mph. The kite performed beautifully in very harsh wind - and came with a grip comfortable enough for our 5 year old to use. It traveled well, too. They sure don't make kites like they did when I was a kid - and thank goodness for that!

              This is a good toy!
I like this helicopter alot! It's neat because it has a motor that runs on air. It flies straight up and then when it runs low on air, it lands very gently & doesn't break like some other airplanes that I've tried. I wish it wasn't made out of sterofoam though.I really have fun with this toy.

Tonka Motorized Rescue Helicopter in Red
              Made by Funrise
              Age Group: 4 - 7 years
                Amazon base price: $29.99
This motorized rescue helicopter from Tonka is sure to be a hit with helicopter-loving toddlers. The motorized winch can raise and lower the provided stretchers (which then fit cleverly into slots on the sides), the rotor turns at the press of a button, and additional buttons trigger the siren or helicopter sound. The button to turn the rotor is in a perfect spot for holding the helicopter while flying and also turns on the adjustable spotlight for night rescues. The cockpit and cabin open to insert a pilot or other characters if desired (not included). The helicopter contains small parts that could pose a choking hazard to children under the age of 3. It requires four AA batteries (included). --Jay Weinland

                Another Tonka Wonder
Tonka never ceases to amaze me with the quality of their toys. I bought this for my son last year (he was 3) and it's consistently been one of his favorites. It doesn't even go in the toy box. It has a special place on his bookshelf next to his Matchbox helicopter. The features are cool. He loves the fact that he can make the blades spin with just the push of a button. He doesn't play with it constantly (anymore) but anyone who has a child in this age range knows that kids go in cycles. Unlike some other toys that have been long forgotten over the ages, this toy still gets regular abuse. And toughs it out, just like most of Tonka's toys. Nothing has ever broken. Even the winch rope is durable. I love Tonka toys.

                Tough enough for younger kids.
I bought one of these 2 years ago when my son turned 2, and it has consistently been one of his favorites. He has never used the winch very much; he just flies it around the house, especially with the lights out so he could use the search light to see. My parents bought him another one last year, not knowing that he already had one. This one differed only it that it is now festooned with American flags (post 9/11 version, apparently). Now these helicopters are my 1 year old son's favorite toys; he likes to push the buttons as well as push it around the house after his brother. The toy is really tough, and I assume the 4-7 age range is out of concern about strangulation on the winch cord more than durability or age suitability. Bearing this in mind, the toy can probably handle kids at any age.

Nitro Kart like a blast of Nitrous - Big Smile!
CRASH NITRO KART is basically a racing game. But it's a well-executed, good graphics, and a psycho amount of weapons and dangers kind of racing game! The gist is you chose to either play as one of Crash's team or one of the EVIL team members. Each character has varying levels of speed or turning ability, and this makes it all the more difficult! Add to that the varying levels of tracks, and multiple ways you can play (adventure, single race, time trial, etc!).

People will compare it to Mario Kart, but it's really comparable to any number of racing games from Simpson's Road Rage to Cartoon Network's Speedway. What makes this game tick are the surprises you get as you advance up the game levels. Hidden drivers crop up, new cheats, etc! By the end of it all you can even unlock characters like SPYRO who aren't even in CRASH games usually. This is a lot of fun, and works really well on the GBA. Cute enough for kids, but also challenging enough for adults. I found it actually very challenging to ramp up my driving skills. This was not easy to just pick up and instantly be a pro!

More then that you can play with Spyro. This is also the best Crash Bandicoot game ever. You can unlock cheats by winning gem cups.If you beat the red gem cup you will unlock the artillery cheat, win the blue gem cup to unlock the turbo cheat, win the green gem cup to unlock the R/C KART, and the last i didn't unlock it.Link up your friends and play vs, battle and arcade modes.Oh yeah i forgot the best part about this game.Link your Nintendo Gamecube to unlock certain features on the Crash Nitro Kart.I like this game that mush that i buy it for PS2 and Nintendo Gamecube.I hope you like it.

                USS Kittyhawk Probuilder

Put together a mere 1,700 pieces in the right order, stick on a page or three of decals, and you're the proud owner of a 3-foot model depicting the aircraft carrier U.S.S. Kittyhawk. The detailed, wordless instructions run to 56 pages. Eight one-piece F-14 jets are included to adorn the flight deck. Finished? Not quite. Without telling you how to make them, the instructions also tantalizingly illustrate both an oil tanker and a cruiser that you can make from the same parts. --Richard Farr

                  The USS Kittyhawk
                  (...)
Very good model of one of the Naval Fleet's largest Aircraft carriers. The USS Kittyhawk is memorable and filled with fun. The time it takes is at least 6 hours to build. It's not hard to make just hard trying to find the pieces for that step. You could also add it to a Abrams tank, Tactival Fighter, and a Destroyer to make your own army. Get a bucket of legos and build an enemy base to defeat. It provides days of fun for you and a few friends. Thank you for reading.

                  Huge, Accurate and High Quality
I bought this set for myself (I'm 30), as I've always loved block building sets, and also built many aircraft carrier models when I was younger. This set is pretty accurate with respect to the actual design of the Kittyhawk and carriers in general (although the decal instructions have the main "63" on the top deck turned 180 degrees the wrong way).

Structure is acceptably durable and the set is easy to build. You can pick the whole thing up and move it around without being too gentle with it. Pieces come in different bags by type so they're easy to find, and the instructions are extremely clear.

Pieces fit precisely and I didn't have any problems with fit or alignment. Color consistency is great. Kit was complete, and had some surplus bits, too. There are a couple of extra name decals in case you mess up the first ones. A few of the small pieces come on little plastic "trees" like plastic model kits, so you might want to help your child by using an Xacto knife to trim them.

It comes with 8 F-14 jet fighter planes that are also accurately designed. The elevator platforms on the ship even work and there is some internal space for storage!

And this kit is HUGE when it's finished; about 3 feet long. Really impressive ... a deal. Picture here doesn't do it justice. A LEGO set of the same size and volume would cost $125.00 easily, plus you'll have a bazillion light gray bricks when you're done. You won't be disappointed!

                  Truly Satisfying
Hi. I'm an 11 year old kid who LOVES military action and science. I also love anything that you can build or DESTRUCT!!!! Mwa Ha Ha!!!!!! I got interested in it when I first saw it at my freind's house yesterday. Extremely accurate, this model consists of over 1,700 pieces. I've had larger models, but this one would take a probuilder about say....35-42 hours. Not very long. I have found LEGOs very interesting (I own several hard ones), but MEGA Blocks are just the same. But, they're more reliable.

I played with it for a while and found its structure very well done. Details ar magnificent, but lacks realism. It's too blocky on the sides. It is educational in a way of structuring, and it is very fun. It rolls on wheels so you don't have to worry about the bottom scraping the floor. Without that, the bottom would just tear up the floor, but also damaging the model badly.

                    Fun and Durable
These are just great. Four 12-piece puzzles made out of very durable materials (see Pros below). The sturdy wooden box has four compartments under a sliding lid. Each of the four puzzles are theme related. These four are Fire Truck, School Bus, Steam Engine, and Jet Airplane.

                    Pros:
                    Easy but not too-easy puzzles.
                    Pieces fit well together.
                    Nice pictures.
                    Sturdy container.
Each puzzle has a different shape printed on the back to make sorting the puzzles easier.
Super durable. I did not realize just how durable they were until I found a piece in my dishwasher. Even after being washed the picture was fine and the wood in perfect condition.

                    Cons:
It may take a few moments to figure out how to fit an entire puzzle's pieces in a single compartment.
                    Lid does not lock closed.

My kids love these and you will too.

falls apart, and difficult to fit all the pieces in the box
My 2.5 year old son received this toy for christmas. Not even two weeks later, we have already had to fix four of the puzzle pieces. The pictures are coming off the "wood". The wood is more like layers of wood (reminds me somewhat of cardboard), which is probably why they are falling apart so easily. As another reviewer mentioned, it can be difficult to get the pieces apart after the puzzle has been put together, which also can be contributing to the layers of the pieces coming off. Also, it can be difficult to slide the cover back on, unless all of the pieces are laying a certain way in the box. This can be time comsuming for an adult to do, and nearly impossible for a two year with no patience. Overall, I like the theory of the product, but I doubt that it will last much longer unless we stand by with a bottle of glue at all times. I am most upset about the poor quality of the product since I gave several of these as gifts over the holidays. It is embarrassing to give a child a gift that turns out to be junk.

                    What a great deal!!
My one dissapointment is that the puzzles are much smaller than they appeared to be in the picuture when I bought this product.

My two-year-old doesn't seem to mind though.

Otherwise, this is a great deal. This is the next logical step for the 2-to-3 year-old who likes peg puzzles, especially the ones where there is a single image divided up into pieces, and especially if you've got a little guy who lives for fire trucks, school buses, airplanes, and choo-choo trains!
