Dump Truck
Made by Little Tikes
Age Group: 36 months - 10 years
    Amazon base price: $
    List price: $12.99 (that's NaN% off!)
Perhaps the cutest construction vehicles to ever take to the road, the tough oversize trucks from Little Tikes feature well-rounded seams and corners and a rugged plastic build, perfect for the small hands and boisterous attention of enthusiastic young road workers. This 12-inch-long, 9-inch-high, and 9-inch-wide dump truck, cast in bright yellow and black, gets around on fat plastic tires and has a bed that really lifts up to dump its load. The truck's simple design also makes a quick hose-off easy after a long day in the sandbox. --Paul Hughes

    Hidden Dangers
My son loves his truck now that we have fixed the dump bed. The day it arrived he was pushing it around the house and the bed raised up and hit him in the mouth. Only a fat lip and a little bleeding, no major damage. I used a self tapping screw to attach the bed to the cab, and we haven't had any more problems with that part. Another problem we have had is with the tires. They don't stay on the hubs. It still works fine, but has to be fixed when he plays with the truck. He doesn't seem to care that it doesn't dump anymore, and he enjoys working on the tires.

Not sturdy and well-designed like other Little Tikes toys
This truck is not at all like the Little Tikes Car Carrier truck that we have. Children can sit on it and ride it with no problem (the 2 sports cars are equally as sturdy). You have to watch the back of this truck because it is constantly tipping back, causing the child to fall down. It's not designed to be played with the way children of this age like to play.

A friend of mine had to call Little Tikes for a replacement for her truck because the rear wheel kept falling off. Then the whole metal axle would slide out - not a very safe thing with little ones around.

It seems that the newer Little Tikes stuff that is being outsourced to Chinese manufacturers is really junky compared to the stuff that was produced in US factories. Guess they're trying to reduce costs, but the product is suffering.

I would not recommend this product at all.

Simplicity and Safety at its Finest!
My 2 year old received this for his birthday and out
of all of the toys that he got, this was his favorite.

It is simple, safe, durable and easy for a toddler to use.
The hard plastic is great (he also received a metal version
of this which we have tucked away for him - not safe).

If you buy one dump truck, make this one your purchase.
    It's worth it.

X has Entered A New Dimension!
First of all I am a huge fan of Mega Man X (Who isn't?) I have every single Mega Man X game from X 1-7.Know I do not know why so many people do not liked this game! Its fabulos! The most greatest part of this game is the Nova Strike. I have also seen all 3 endings of X6.

Mega Man X6 just as bad as X5
Don't waste your time or money. Capcom ...has it become to known as has been releasing worse games then ever before. X4 was one of the best Mega Man games in my opinion and after that they have just gotten worse. X5 and 6 were obviously done by a different team of capcom then the previous games. Its not very mega man like if you have played mega man games as long as I have which is 12 years you would know what I mean. People who say this game is a 4 or 5 stars have no idea how good mega man games in the past were. Capcom shows once again that they dont use enough testers for their games. Its all about dead lines and getting the game on the shelf not putting effort into it. Mega man is dead in my opinion due to the lack of effort and creativity in their games. This game doesn't look like a mega man type of game from the game play and story line.

      Much better done than X5
OK to say it simple, I was disappointed with Mega Man X5, and I thought this game would be pretty bad because it wasn't even a year after X5 that this one was made, and the fact that this even takes off from where X5 left off.

In Mega Man X5 we saw one of our favorite videogame series change into something else. These changes actually made the game easy and never made me think about playing it again.

However, Mega Man X6 is different. First of all, the game is actually a good challenge, actually this is the first Mega Man X game that has taken me more than a week or 3 days to get to the end of, and I still haven't beaten it (for me thats saying a WHOLE lot, I'm pretty sure people can beat Mega Man X in a day). The game is not as focused on plot as X5 was either.

However, the game may seem a little too difficult at times. Not to mention that they still didn't get back to anime videos. While I admit in X4 the voice acting wasn't good, Mega Man X6 has far too much dialogue. The game keeps something going for hours, that my friends is action, just what this game needs.

My only other gripe is that with the capsules they kept what they were doing in X5. In other words, until you collect all 4 pieces, you can't use the armor.

You can play as Zero but in the end it won't pay off. In X4 Zero was a character to remember, but now I gaurantee that you'll prefer X over Zero if you liked Zero in the past. X gets a Z-Saber but its useless to use. The music in the game could use a lot of work too. In the Past Mega Man X games the music has been really good.

Another gripe (but can be a good thing to raise Difficulty and replay), is that the level is never the same level twice. A random effect happens. You could play through a level once, then play through it again to find different enemy placements, you could find objects that weren't normally there, platforms in different places, but you can also find many mini bosses who use a different pattern.

My advice, Play Mega Man X4 or X2 before playing this game just to get the feel of what its like. X5 was also be a good decision this time around. Keep that in mind as those games are much better to get you started on the series. For the expeirienced, good luck with this one cuz its actually a challenge.

        Great Christmas Gift
We gave this to our 5 year old grandson for Christmas and he was thrilled. When we left their house 3 days later, he was still thrilled with the crane. I love the metal that Tonka uses, the plastic trucks do not last with 5 year old twin boys. I recommend this crane for any little boys that enjoy Mighty Machines.

        unsafe and frustrating
We got this for our 3-year-old son last Christmas, and he was thrilled with it. He played with it for about 5 minutes and was very frustrated because the arm would not stay in place, it kept crashing down no matter how securely kid (or parents) would try to set it in place. Unsafe for fingers or anyone in the way of the arm when it goes. We tried playing with it for a few days and ended up exchanging it for the excavator instead, which was a big disappointment -- this had been his very favorite thing under the tree. Extremely poor engineering on this one.

        danger
Not safe for little or big fingers. The crane arm comes smashing down on little hands. Very disappointing. Surprised Tonka did not catch this.

Annoying to parents....hours of fun for children!!
Every child that I have ever seen play with this toy loves it....whether they are a boy or girl...or age 1-13!! On the other end of the spectrum every teenager thru adult that I have seen around this toy finds it quite annoying! Toddlers love it for its interactive features (lights and music) and older kids love it because they can make it roll forward and then back and it talks and makes lots of noise. I would definetly recommend it!!

Kids can't stop playing with it
My son got this toy as a birthday present. Every boy (and some of the younger girls)that comes to our house, MUST play with this toy. Parents be forwarned, it is pretty loud and plays both rock and roll and a latin dance song. It also has loud engine noises and "peels out" all on its own. This perhaps explains its popularity with children. Keep it away from where adults are trying to carry on a conversation, but get it for your kids, they'll love it!

A Tip to Save a Little PT Cruiser's Christmas
My son loved this toy. It has it all: lights, sound and action! However, it died after a week and new batteries did not help. I tested the batteries with a volt-ohm meter. When the batteries were in the toy, I and got really inconsistant readings. As a last resort, I folded some aluminum foil into strips and put the strips in between the positive terminals of the batteries and the terminals in the battery box. It worked and made a 7-year old very happy!

A wonderful first ride-on for your toddler, the Little Ms. Rescue Rider Toddler Activity Walker is attractively styled for the pint-sized heroine in your family. Loaded with eye-catching details, including official-looking decals and a play phone that makes realistic dialing noises, the Little Ms. Rescue Rider is made of durable plastic and comes with a removable walker bar mounted behind the rider's seat. The front console is equipped with a clicking gearshift and turning key, and a squeaking horn is mounted on the center of the toddler-sized steering wheel. A great little toy
I'm a mommy of triplets who recently turned 2. They recieved tons of different ride on walkers between their 1st and 2nd birthday. This is a great walker! I have one of these and two of the boys models for my boy boy girl triplets. I would highly reccomend it! Especially since it's only 12 bucks.

            Great Toy for the Price
I was pleasently suprised when we got this ride on two weeks ago. I read all of the reviews and figured it would be something I would end up sending back. However we love this car. My 15 month old daughter rides it everywhere inside and outside. We love that the seat lifts up to store our purses and babies. We also love that the wheels turn so we don't have to constantly turn it when my daughter runs into a dead end like we did with the little tikes ride on. Anyway, this is a really good buy.

Mixed feelings but daughter loves it
I bought my daughter Morgan this when she was 10 months old and she really didn't show much interest in it. I do think it should be recommended for a little bit younger than a year because she did learn to walk pushing it. But she also would fall over it and run over her feet. Now she is almost a year old and she rides on it and puts her doll in the seat compartment and pushes it around. She has also just discovered there is a purse on the front so she likes to pull it off and put stuff in it. I have mixed feelings about this toy but my daughter so far has learned from it and really likes walking around the house with it. I would buy it again for her. I don't think after a couple years old that she will be interested in it anymore though.

Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends: Cranky the Crane
            Made by Learning Curve

              Amazon base price: $
              List price: $39.99 (that's NaN% off!)
Thomas the Tank Engine & Friends is an ensemble of lovable railroad characters that includes Cranky the Crane. Cranky is one of the add-ons to the award-winning Thomas & Friends Wooden Railway System. Straight out of the books by W. Awdry that made Thomas famous, Cranky has a fascinating history and a captivating personality. This crane comes with experience, a slightly testy temperament, and two large red handles for easy operation. Cranky's body attaches lickety-split to the crane tower. One handle pivots Cranky around; the other raises and lowers cargo for loading and unloading cars by magnetic power. Cranky the Crane comes with one piece of cargo, also durably built of wood. --Lynne Sampson

              Great gift!
We bought this toy for our twin sons for Easter. They are 3 and LOVE Thomas! We were dissapointed that, when my husband took it out of the box, the head fell off. We thought about returning it, but the boys love it so much, we just can't bear to take it away from them. I admit that it is a pain to have to keep putting the head back on, but one of my 3 yr olds can do that himself (much to his joyous discovery!) so this makes it easier. My 16 month old loves it too. Now all we have to do is get the Down By The Docks set (minus Cranky) and they will be all set!

              Skyler's favorite
My son recently got this piece for his 3rd birthday. It's his absolute favorite piece hands down. It can be used with any magnetic or metal cargo like the scrap cars. I bought some extra cargo from BRIO as Thomas does'nt sell thiers separately. Cranky's head sometimes comes off so my son brings it to me and it goes right back on. A very versatile piece too. Because it is not connected to the track, it can go anywhere in your layout.

Not the Best Choice for Cranes
On a recent trip to Strasburg, PA (train heaven)we allowed our 3 1/2 year old son to choose a special Thomas item. He had recently become familiar with Cranky through one of our videos. We tried to gently steer him to the Sodor Crane but he was adamant (that darn character identification starts early). Our experience with the toy has been mixed. He loves picking things up with it and recreating stories. But the piece itself is very awkward for a young child to control and we find that it is always falling over, bumping into other items, etc. I think it would be a lot easier if it were attached to a piece of track, the way the water tower is. It would give additional stability that is lacking. Some people would prefer the flexibility of moving the piece wherever they like. We've also had several instances where Cranky's head has come off - rather traumatic but fixable. Even with these problems, my son still is very happy with his Cranky.

              Gundam Battle Assault
              Made by Bandai
Age Group: 12 years and up
                Amazon base price: $
                List price: $39.99 (that's NaN% off!)
                Used price: $12.95
A rudimentary 2-D fighting game loosely based on several of the Gundam Japanese animated series and movies, Gundam Battle Assault isn't the game that fans would have hoped for, and is definitely not for casual gamers who don't know what the heck a Gundam is. The game's one-on-one combat is between giant robots known as "mobile suits." They can fly up into the air--the screen scrolls vertically to follow the action, providing a little extra headroom in the cramped 2-D arenas--but there's really nothing about the gameplay here that you haven't seen before and played ad nauseam.

Originally released in Japan in 1998, Gundam Battle Assault definitely reeks a bit upon its stateside arrival two years later. While the graphics and sound are certainly colorful and mostly faithful to the animated shows, they are unremarkable at best, and, compared to more recent games in the fighting genre, this title is about as bare bones as they come in terms of features, options, and extras. Only two modes of play are available: the requisite two-player versus mode, and a one-player story mode that follows a poorly scripted plot sure to confound Gundam saga newbies and irritate veteran fans with its illogical absurdity. --Joe Hon

                Pros:

                • Features characters and mobile suits from the various Gundam cartoons
                Cons:
                • Uninspired gameplay
                • Unremarkable graphics and sound
                • Minimal game features, options, and extras
                • Story mode's poorly scripted plot will either confound or irritate fans

                Nonsense and a half
The plot will make any Gundam fan seethe, Hiiro Yui is a slimeball, and I get very angry when he takes the controls of the Zeta. The plot is utter nonsense, as it seems that since the story takes place in A.C 19X, that there was some large dimensional shift, dumping characters from Universal Century 0079 to 0093 on said Slimeball's doorstep. As it's been said in every review, Hiiro is of course, not an original character to this game. The dialogue is absolutely atrocious, as respected characters surrender to "The Perfect Soldier". It seems it was written by a person who had never seen any of the Gundam series, and had no idea of who these characters are. Sometimes I feel so guilty about people like Char or Hamarn losing to Hiiro that I just lose on purpose. No, I really mean it. I especially like Camille's ending speech. That's Camille Vidan, The Strongest Newtype Ever. Well, play it for yourself and find out.
                Well, how does it play?
It's an average fighter game. The number of moves are highly lacking, and not especially original. The screen's are a bit on the small side, for a mobile suit battle. The suits can fly around, but not for very long, which is, well, silly. The beam saber attack takes way too long to charge up, and it's weak. Again, that's silly. It would be nice to be able to set a match length, as the fights are one match bouts.
On the other hand, the animation is quite well done. The movements of the mobile suits are true to the show. You know how the beam saber is stored in the Qubeley? It's the same in the game.
Contrary to a previous review, this game has a lot of replay potential. There are some fun characters to unlock.
And another thing. The Mobile Armors are tiny. They are very tiny in this game. I mean, they're big, I suppose, but not at all to scale. They are tiny.
This game has fun to it, but it sure put me off Bandai's localization work for a while.

Not the best; not the worst.
This game has the Mobile Suits of the gundam series, but it just isn't up to my standards. The graphics, concerning gundams, are good. All the gundams and other mobile suits look good. If I hadn't bought this game already I would just get the second one because it is much better. The second one has many of the same characters, but it has a better story mode. I think this gundam game is just for the gundam collectors. I would compare it to DBZ Ultimate Battle 22: the best quality is the detailed drawings of the characters.

                A little bit for everyone
I just received this game, and as far as fighters go, this is a throw back to Street Fighter 2, Marvel vs. Capcom type games etc. If you are a Gundam Wing Fan, Heero is the main character, but only he and Wing are in the game. The other pilots come from the U.C. timelines as far as I can tell. I am a Wing fan, and the game is still enjoyable. The graphics are good, the sound isn't so good. The gameplay is slower due to the fact that these are machines not people. I would recomend this game more to fans of the Gundam series, rather than others, because the slowness, and old school style may not appeal to newer, and unfamiliar gamers. For those of us who love the series, not a bad purchase if you have an extra ... to spend.

                  Armored Core Master of Garbage
First and foremost, Armored Core: Master of Arena is not a sequel. Rather, it is an expansion pack for the original Armored Core. This is probably the first I've ever seen two expansion pack for one game, by the way. ACMOA is a giant edition of the first expansion pack, called Project Phantasm, but more arenas, more weapons and more terrible voice-acting. Don't get me wrong, I loved Armored Core for the auction and you can mix and match all the parts for your robot. You can have your choice between the two legged robot with gatling cannons and heat seeking missles, or the hovertank with grenade launchers for arms and a fusion cannon on your shoulder for backup. No other PSX has this much control over customizing your vehicle (except gran tourismo, but that's just driving).

However, ACMOA fails terrible because it is just more of the same crap. You get about 5 more arenas for head-to-head fighting, some missions that are basically the same from the first two AC, a couple of weapons that do absolutely nothing, and enemies which are nearly impossible to destroy. Is it me, or do they never miss? I can be armed to the teeth with missles, rockets, laser cannons and machine guns, and I barely take 10% off their health, and yet the computer-controlled robots can destroy in about 8 seconds, only armed with a sword and a toothpick.

Even though the first AC came out 5 years ago, ACMOA seems to be even slower and the graphics look like they came straight off a Sega Genesis. Loading times are excruciatingly slow - it takes about 30 seconds to just start an arena game. To make if worse, you win or lose, the game takes another 20 seconds to automatically start showing the replay - you can't turn it off in the option screen. Then you have to wait another 30 seconds for the game to go back to the main menu. Talk about your loading times!

And here's the final straw - even though analog sticks have been available on the PSX since 1996, ACMOA still relies on the d-pad. You use L1 and R1 to strafe, and L2 and R2 to look up and down. This game just begs for the usage of the TWO ANALOG JOYSTICSK, but apparently the game makers are still living in 1995. Even this one little thing could have savalge the game.

But nope. With outdated graphics, terrible controls, and nothing really new to offer, Armored Core Master of Arena is best suited for die hard AC fans. Wait a second, I'm a die hard AC fan, and I thought the game sucked. Let me change that. ACMOA is best suited for those who like to waste money and play the same game over and over again. If you own the first AC, buy Project Phantasm, availabe for about $20 at most stores. If you don't own AC or AC Project Phantasm, DO NOT BUY this game.

                  Armored Core Masters of Arena
Hmmm... Well, This game is the same tired formula of the two previous games mixed into one giant package. I enjoyed this game, not because of the great missions, not because of almost endless battles, but the thing that most impressed me was the ability of ultimate customization of your mech. (I built all the gundams and tallgeese, and the dolls!) The options are almost limitless, as you can build the aformentioned. The site to do this is www.gamewinners.com. just go into playstation games, and you'll find it. eventually. Back to the game, The graphics are somewhat mediocre, the controls are somewhat murky, and the number of missions are inexusible. (19? please.) But, in light of all these flaws, This game is either rentable or purchaseable. do either as soon as possible, or if you have a playstation 2, BUY armored core 2: another age. It's just like Project Phantasma.

THIS IS MY ALL TME FAVORITE GAME OF ALL TIME
Hello, I have had this game for about a year. Oh, if you are having trouble on that giant battle tank mission try flying on top of it and destroying the missile launcher first then shoot at the cannons(this also works on that submarine level near the begining. well, I have beaten the first disk and I am working on the second disk. I use the quad laser cannon and the laser rifle and the moonlight laser blade, some people think that brute force can't win in this game but I haven't had a problem yet. Buy this game NOW or face the wrath of guilt or something. The souff elff has spoken.

Dinosaur devotees will be roaring over this radio-controlled Tyrannosaurus Rex as he growls and roars, moves his head, thrashes his tail, and even blinks his beady yellow eyes. He can also turn realistically and walk forward a few steps on a hard surface, growling and roaring at the same time, if you choose. T-Rex is 11 inches tall and 21 inches from nose to tail, with textured, flexible brown rubber skin that bends and moves. The controller is shaped like a stone with two bone-shaped joysticks to control the dinosaur's walking and turning. Buttons on the side of the controller make T-Rex move his head and front feet, snap his jaws, roar, and blink his eyes. The controller slides open in the middle for use, and you have to be careful not to pinch your fingers when you snap it shut. T-Rex requires a total of six AA batteries, two for the controller and four inside the dinosaur, and the battery compartment inside the T-Rex is rather difficult to access. Despite these small drawbacks, this dino is one cool dude that will thrill any kid in the midst of the inevitable dinosaur phase. -- Marcie Bovetz

This toy is the best! Worth your money!
My favorite dinosaur is the Tyrannosaurus Rex, so i bought it. The toy is completely reilistic! It has everything you wish for in a R/C toy! It's head is very great and reilistic and it's sounds are too! But be careful. After about 3 or 2 years, i was playing with the toy when suddenly it's ankle snapped in half. My mom can't get it back together again. So be careful about bagnning this toy around like a doll. If you do it's going to breck soon. But if you don't, it lasts for about 3 or 4 years. But since my birthday's coming up in 3 weeks, my mom is going to buy another one! I thank Jesus for this wonderful toy! :)

T-Rex is pretty cool, but winds up in the closet anyway.
I had high expectations for this bad boy, but let me give you the pros and cons:

                    Pros:

Mobility, coupled with an array of growls, roars and twitches, will keep your attention for a short while. I do give the creators credit for a sincere effort at realism, however...

                    Cons:

The clawlike arms are not mechanized, and just hang there.
There is a loud clicking sound (gears?) as he moves his head.
Although the legs move, the tail is stiff and non-functional (tags along on non-powered wheels protruding from below).
The big guy has trouble negotiating anything other than smooth, flat surfaces.

Basically, I think the problem with toys such as this, is simply the lack of child interaction. After a short time, the novelty wears off, and junior goes scurrying back to the lego blocks. I also purchased a very well-conceived E.T. figure for my 5-yr. old son (4 at the time). The vocal effects were excellent, but like Mr. T-Rex, he was soon gathering dust in a box in the closet.

Bottom-line: Child interaction is priority #1. A good jigsaw puzzle will beat the heck out of fancy, mechanized toys. Fool me twice - shame on me.

Very poor quality, cheap mechanical parts, VERY disappointed
I orded this toy for my son's main Christmas present. I put the batteries in and tried it out. Half of the functions didn't even work. I returned it for a replacement. (Very easy and convienent return policy!) When I got the 2nd one a few days later, all of the buttons worked, but the gears and mechanics where of HORRIBLE quality and very cheaply put together. The gears would miss and get stuck on some of the funtions and it would just jerk around. The gears are incredibly LOUD! It constantly made a VERY loud high pitched screeching noise as it's head moved around. This toy is a neat idea, but just too cheaply made. After trying out 2 separate dinos, I recomend you pass this one up and find a different toy for your kiddos.

                    Capitol Flyer R/C RTF Airplane

                      List price: $199.99 (that's NaN% off!)
Although it requires very little setup time, this Capitol Flyer RTF airplane is equipped with some impressive performance features, including full variable control of the rudder, elevator, and throttle. This 21-inch-long airplane also comes with a powerful motor capable of fast speeds. These features make the Capitol Flyer a lot of fun to use, but it may be a little difficult for beginners to control in the air. The plane comes with a three-channel 72 MHz transmitter, a rechargeable NiMH battery pack, and a 12-volt peak detection charger. You will also need eight AA batteries to power the plane's transmitter. An instruction manual and spare parts are included. --Chris Burns

                      you betta buy this plane
This plane is great, dont listen to the other reviews, (...), its a fun plane! Takes off right off the ground, built very well, very durable and fast. Everything works! I suggest that you first check all the things, like the elevator and the rudder and all the moving parts, i didnt and it crashed! But after i checked them i knew what the problem was, and I fixed it, any way its very fun and educational!!!!

                      Amazing Fantastic Wonderful Amazing...
I read all of the reviews, Good and Bad, and decided to to give it a try anyway. I made sure to read the manual thoroughly, cycled the batteries three times, tested the rudder and elevator, and practiced taxing the aircraft down a stretch of road before attempting my first flight to get comfortable with the power of aircraft. I then went to the park powered up to full throttle took three quick steps and launched the aircraft as directed by the manual and.....IT FLEW...AND CLIMBED...AND CLIMBED...AND turned RIGHT and LEFT as I commanded...and performed a figure 8...and descended as I lowered the throttle and landed almost perfectly on my first flight EVER. I picked it and repeated again 3-4 times crashing but recovering each time. After the 4ht time the engine seemed a little weak but it continued to fly nonetheless. Upon closer inspection I discovered that the gear shaft was SLIGHTLy bent. No problem they provide a back up. I have never donw this before and felt like a pro on my first flight. I will be back in the park and just had to tell someone right after finishing this review because I am now hooked . IMHO You can't go wrong with this aircraft.
