It was just there with the cardboard shipping paper still in it! Well, to say the least...my husband took it and my 10 year old and 29 month old just had a ball!
they have gone to the patio and just played with it or walked around the complex with it. The 10 year old likes to be in it with her sister...
So, embarrassing, it wasn't! She had more fun than all of us!
I just rated this 5 stars...what a blessing it was to find this!

Pulse-pounding actionG-Police provides you with various vehicles and weapons that are used throughout the game. The storyline is decent and the graphics are pretty good. Some scenarios are very difficult and the loading times are very long. This is a good, low-price game.
The Fun Factor of G Police Weapons of Justice

While it's true that there are enough pegged platforms outside of the vehicle to hold something like 16-20 total soldiers, it's really stretching it. When you have 6-12 soldiers standing on a runner with one foot and holding on to the outside of the transport, they're easy targets for enemy fire. As a result, this toy is best for holding a maximum of eight soldiers (six under the red canopy and two up front). Though two gunner stations are included to the left and right rear of the vehicle, any soldiers placed in these stations can't turn to face anything their rotating guns would target. They can only face in one direction (directly away from the vehicle), making them pretty useless. It's not like they have a display in front of them that would show what the gun is pointed at.
So essentially, the vehicle holds eight troops. Considering how large it is (nearly the entire volume of the box it comes in), the shelf space it takes up could have been put to better use. I'm also disappointed that this vehicle comes totally assembled. Half the fun of GI Joe, for me, is assembling the vehicles like a model kit.
I do agree that the included BAT figures are very cool. They're a $9.99 value on their own (average shelf cost for a figure 3-pack). However, the vehicle really needs a minimum of six soldiers for it to make any sense as a crew transport. No additional BAT figures are sold seperately, so unless you mix and match your troops, you really have to buy the Cobra Infantry 6 pack and use them with this vehicle instead.
All in all, I'd say buy this vehicle if you really want the BAT troops. You're essentially getting a $10 vehicle along with them, which is a fair value for it, as long as you realize that the three BAT figures won't be enough troops to use with it. But I wouldn't recommend buying this for the vehicle. There are better ones out there.

ONE COMPLAINT, they don't come with a charger (even though it says it does in the write up here). The box says that you can use a 9 volt for the remote and BUY a 6V rechargeable Battery and charger for the vehicle OR use 5 AA batteries for the vehicle. I figured 5 AA batteries no big deal we'll keep it. WELL, Run time is only 30 minutes before you need to replace the battery. I didn't see that part on the box when we got it and didn't know why it was dying 30 minutes after playing with it and then saw that part. So buying the charger and chargeable battery is a must and worth it so you don't go broke buying batteries. Which is an added cost to purchasing the item... If he didn't love it so it would've gone back to the store so we are off to get a rechargeable remote control car battery... I did call the company and they said as long as the voltage matches up another car charger and battery will work. I was told we should be able to get one for $15 which will save money in the long run.
